Scare card

A dangerously looking card that could have easily helped you or your opponent. Concept of the scare card is often used when constructing bluffs.

For example, if there are two clubs on the flop, and then the Ac peels on the turn, this is a very scary card for an opponent holding two Jacks, especially with no clubs in his hand. An observant player can use this card to put a lot of pressure on his opponent and make him fold right there or on the river.
