Satellite into the 2024 WSOP

We’re barely done with the hustle and bustle of the 2023 WSOP and WSOP Europe and already it’s time to start thinking about satellite qualification for next year’s trip to Las Vegas.

The full schedule is yet to be ratified but we do know that come springtime we need to be ready to work out what events we’re looking to play.

We can expect even more prestigious WSOP gold bracelets to be on offer — more than 120, we think. That’s 90+ in Las Vegas with the WSOP Online series providing another 30+ to fight over.

As usual, the action will begin in Las Vegas at the end of May, and the WSOP Online kicks of in earnest on June 1.

Another Record-Breaking Year?

Last year gave us a series to remember; a real record-breaking effort. More than 250,000 players made the trip to Sin City, building prize pools that totaled more than $425 million for the whole series.

It really was harking back to the poker boom years with so much love for the game on show.

The WSOP Main Event saw a record $93 million prize pool that paid a record $12.1 million to the winner Daniel Weinman.

We had reached the point of most players believing that Jamie Gold’s record of $12 million would never be broken.

Even the WSOP Online paid out more than $17 million to more than 29,000 players.

What’s Happening at the 2024 WSOP?

The first piece of good news is that the circus will reconvene at The Horseshoe Casino and Paris Casino in Las Vegas.

The 2023 series was the first away from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and the reaction could not have been better. Let’s face it, the reviews all pointed towards a property that was starting to look its age.

We also have news that more mystery bounty events will be slotted into the already jam-packed schedule.

PKO’s have revolutionised the online MTT scene in recent years but the added tension of not knowing how much the bounties are worth until they are drawn at the end of the event is proving extremely popular.

We can also look forward to Daniel Negreanu’s vlogs alongside the PokerGO streaming service. The Canadian does a great job of showing us real behind the scenes as he grinds the biggest events.

Top 5 Sites to Qualify on for the 2024 WSOP

HighStakes™:

HighStakes™ is our top pick to qualify for the 2024 WSOP. The independent platform showcases a great tournament schedule and runs satellites for all manner of major events on a regular basis.

Check out the lobby to see just what‘s on offer and don’t forget to keep one eye on the satellite schedule when it’s time to bag a cheap seat for the trip to Las Vegas.

For those with bankrolls not ready to think about the 2024 WSOP, HighStakes™ offers a $2,000 first-time deposit bonus for all new players.

Tigergaming:

Tigergaming is another great choice to think about for tournaments and satellites. The platform has excellent software that is perfect for new players.

When WSOP satellites are live, Tigergaming will make a great place to qualify, plus there is a $1,000 first-time deposit bonus on offer.

ACR Poker:

For US-based players interested in playing satellites for the 2024 WSOP, ACR Poker is the place to be.

The tournament schedule is fantastic, complemented with round the clock satellites of which many are for major events.

The $2,000 sign-up bonus is perfect for those looking to do everything they can to qualify for their first major events.

Unibet:

There isn’t another site that is focussed on its niche clientele like Unibet does. Everything about the brand is geared towards making sure amateur players get the most enjoyment from their hobby.

The software is a great example of that. No bells and whistles for the pros to be found here.

Unibet is also known for its involvement in live tournament series which bodes well for giving its players plenty of opportunities to bag that trip to Las Vegas for a much cut-down price.

Ignition:

Another decent choice for US-based players is Ignition. The site has everything a gambler would ever need.

The platform is not as big as some other choices but that generally equates to softer games and a potentially easier road to winning a cheap seat for a WSOP bracelet event.
