BB's/Hour

Posted 7 years agoEdited 7 years ago

Everyone talks about bb/100 but IMO what really matters if BB/hour as who cares if you can crush one table for 6bb/100 because if you'd played 6 tables at 1.1bb/100 you'd make more per hour!

But does anyone know what's considered good, v.good and exceptional BB's/hour?

This prob depends on a person's goals, and also their stakes. I started using bb/hr even before I moved to live. For me the reason was that I went up in stakes, switched to FR, but reduced my # of tables (though I have increased it again, back to 4-8 depending). I find table and seat selecting, and exploiting regs tendencies which takes a few secs to call up relevant HUD stats, to be well worth the cost of extra attention and reduced hands/hr. Also, since I play NL100 it makes it silly easy to figure out my $/hr, and I'm all about the moneyz.

To directly answer your question, I'm at 11.5 big blinds/hr over past 18 months since making this switch, but I only play online a few hours a week (7-10 average I think). I have no idea what is considered a good hourly. Obvs I couldn't live off of my current output but that's not my goal.
