How did everyone do? What were your highlights/challenges?
I had only listed one March goal itt, but I actually had 3 in my head all month.
1. Play live 3x/week: Accomplished. Got in 14 sessions (11 casino, 3 home games with BI $200+). Only had 2 losing sessions at casino.
2. Start to build a database of all my casino hands: Getting there. I've inputted (virtually) all vpip hands I play (I take notes on my phone, everyone just thinks I'm texting). Next step is to start breaking them into categories (by position, pf action, and hand type) for analysis in May (once I have more data). This goal was a pain, but it's an excuse to park myself in a sunny coffee shop for 90 min 1-2x/week. It'll prob also be invaluable once I can review it.
3. Satty my way into WSOP Circuit event in Montreal at the end of April. I had hoped to play sattys every Wed, that was the day I designated for it. I think I played 3x, so not quite my goal. There are two separate prize packages available, and the ME package is a 2-step satty ($12r leads to $130 leads to 3K package). I made it to step 2 twice, the second step 2 is this Sunday. Overall I spent $100 on sattys, which is half of what I hoped. I said I would set aside $200, and I'm actually terrible at spending money so I need to push myself to "waste" money taking shots at a big event (which I really want to get to once in 2016).
So overall accomplished almost everything. I feel good about my game, and also about my progress. Actually listing these goals here, and more importantly, having concrete steps to achieve them, has been very helpful. I look forward to doing it again in April, and I hope y'all had success too!
