So I had won $1875 in bounties banked and had $2k on my head with 70bbs

UTG who had 150bbs 2.5xs and I flat with JJ - Reason is there were 3 shortys and 1 loon behind me I was trapping. Risky with JJ I know but value of bounties were high and was happy to even just play a heads up flop ip with 70bbs and disguised strong hand.

Anyways folds to BB who jams 11bb and only has $500 on his head (would get half of that in bank then rest on my head).

My MTT results is way better than my cash results but I am a little bit sick of the long hours spent on MTTs. And I don't like the variances as well. Although you could argue that variances also exist in cash games, overall it is lower compared to MTTs.

I also feel like deep-stack poker is actually playing "poker" because the MTT format I am good at is mainly turbos which means the decisions are simply math calculations without playing the flop.

Another huge factor is that the cash game field is getting tougher especially PS. However, I mostly play zoom format and I could not find a replacement of that in other small sites.

Do you guys think I should stick with the winning game or learn and get better in the format I like?

Considering all the points you just mentioned, i guess if you like poker and want to continue playing there is nothing wrong with trying to improve at cash games and making transition to them later on, it will help you a lot even in MTT's.
MTT fields are generally a lot softer then cash games, especially PS zoom cash, that is considered toughest field by a lot of people. I just love cash games for the convenience. Took a bad beat, sit the f out, go for a smoke, take a break, make some coffee, continue on battling. Where as in mtt's you can play for 4 hours with 4 5min breaks in between. I just can't imagine grinding like that, even tho i do put enormous hours into cash games luxury of sitting out is just too important.
I think you should try non zoom format, even on pokerstars (however i would strongly suggest switching sites for cash games Unibet is absolute fish pond, TonyBet is good but traffic is terrible you gonna have to play mix of all stakes from 10nl to 50nl to get something like 4-6 tables, Microgaming has been pushing promotions and trying to get rec players i would suggest throwing portion of your bankroll in any of these sites) After playing zoom and hopping on regular tables you will find plays people make absurd calling with weak top pairs and other stuff just because they are bored and want to play hands, rather then fast fold their way to monsters and not having ability to fast fold out of any tough spots and get instantly back in the action.

Thank you for your comments. I am looking for a softer site with decent traffic but the difficult part is that I am located in Australia so the time zone is a disadvantage for me. Apart from PS, it will be hard to find a site with decent traffic in the afternoon.

Yeh up maybe $3k by the end of it........not ideal but will take it. Should have been sooooo much more but this is why cash is king

Yeah, this public service annoucment probably should've come before SCOOP but... variance in MTT's is literally insane. People constantly undervalue it or don't realize how huge it is. That being said some donkaments are also extremely +EV and when the poker festival like SCOOP rolls around it makes a lot of sense to participate, but many people do that without high enought bankroll.

Living in NV we can play whatever we want most of the time, I'll play in some tournaments but generally stick to the cash, lots of tourists so it really is printing money sometimes
