Hey everyone,

I began playing poker when i was 14 and started cash games with friend, online poker I started in 2011 , winning a part of tournaments but also sit'n goes.
The biggest winning was around 6K in a 1 $ Tournament with 12K people.
Actually I work also for more than 10 years, but poker for me is a part of my life.

Hi my name is Goncalo, 24 years old and Im from Portugal, living at the moment in UK on Oxford, Playing 3 years now, but have been out couple of times but due to bankruptcy, now I came back to make the difference in poker, and Im in, no stop for 7 months now and I'll keep grinding.

Hi Guys. I need an advice. I 've read some books about poker but I have no experience of the game. Do you think whether I should invest in Hold'em or it is too early for me?
I am Arsen from Armenia....As you probably know, poker in my country is not popular:)

My advice would be to watch as many videos on this site as you can handle on micro stakes, and start playing on a site in play money untill you feel you have a decent grasp of hand strength and opening ranges and once you feel confident and are winning over a decent sample in play money (say 10-20k hands) make a small deposit and play the smallest stakes (at this point i would get the HUD i recommend PT4) you can and follow strict bankroll management as BR management is almost if not more important than your skill at the table, dont try to rush it as poker is a marathon not a race, do 80% - 20% study to play ratio and as you get a bit better do 50-50 and when you get a bit more advanced 80-20 as at this point experience at the table is will be the most important factor.
Also when you have hands that you struggle to understand get the hand history and post it in the forums for advice.

Whats up everyone! I got back from Macau - Watching my Bro In Law kill it in Blackjack and now I want to learn. I played poker a while back but forgot the rules. One thing was for sure that I picked poker up way faster then I could ever pick up Blackjack. Fun to sit on those tables though. Let's get it!

Welcome to the site, Eric! Are you playing online at all? If so what sites? BlackJack is fun every now and then but i tend to just lose

at least in poker you can find some bad players and take advantage of them

My name is Cain and I regularly play Poker online on the Sky Poker website. I am currently focusing on Hold Em only as I would prefer to master one type of Poker before delving into another. I enjoy a variety of games under the Hold Em umbrella however, mainly playing Six-Max Double or Nothings and Free-roll Tournaments with cash games occasionally on the side.

I'm glad to have found this forum, I used to be a member of 2 + 2 a few years back but it seems to me that it's gone a bit downhill since.

I've played amateurish (probably being very very generous here) for years and I'd like to take a good go at poker, to build up a bankroll so I can withdraw some extra £££ for beers/treats/holidays etc.

I have watched a few of this sites videos on youtube and I've now subscribed to see them as they are uploaded.and I must say they have been very educational and beneficial to me.
