Hello everyone,

My name is Rutger and I'm 19 years old.
Joined this site a while ago, but other than watching Jon's coaching video's (very nice btw), I was not really taking this serious.
But change is coming :D. Just finished exams today and planning on going to university next year. However there is 4 months (yes 4 damn months) holiday in front of me. So plenty of time to play poker and see where I can take this.
Being a slight winner at 10NL speed/regular tables and this is where I will start playing my cash games.
I am also playing checkers, in which I played 6 dutch championships and 1 european championship (this one was a while ago though).
These days not playing checkers that much anymore, just sometimes for fun.
Looking forward to start my own journey page and getting involved in the community!

Hey guys,

Name: Wolfie
Age: 24
Format: 6 max cash/zoom
Stakes: 2nl/5nl and looking to move up
How long you been playing: Just over a month with real money
Where do you live: Toronto
Whats your dogs name: Max who passed away recently Sad

I spent the first few months with play money just to understand the basic fundamentals of poker at no risk and it did help a little but only about as much as play money play can help. Transitioning to real money seemed easy at first and I almost tripled my small bankroll in the first few weeks but I've realised after being put in some tough spots and losing some money that I need (and want) to learn a lot more. I've watched a few videos and read the articles on here and some other sites and it's helped a bit but I'd really love for real feedback on hands and how others approach certain situations.

Ultimately I want to move up to mid stakes but it'll take some work and that's why I'm here!

Yeah same name as this. Mainly 10/20NL reg games but can't keep away from the FF tables either lol (mainly 10, sometimes 25 depending on traffic)

Hi!

I'm Puyan, live in UK (near London) and specialised in 9 man STTs on Stars. Been playing for a while now, like 4-5 years. Switching to cash to improve my hand reading skills and come out of my shell from STT's nitty ways!

Not many people will have a casino been built right behind their house, but that's what's happened to me! So after I get some confidence up hopefully I can crush the cash tables there. I've shipped a few tournaments there too which is nice... live play is... "something else"!

I did blog here - http://thep-log.blogspot.co.uk/ but stopped a while ago due to laziness/motivation/making each post way to long! Cheeky I might make a blog here though soon, I'm trying out 6 max zoom 5NL. Hopefully I can crush soon and take advantage of all your cool PokerVIP Deals here!

Good luck Puyan! Great speaking with you on Skype and anything you need just nudge me on there.

So how close is this casino to you? Which games do they run? I would say to gain confidence maybe just try one of their smaller tournaments first?

Yeah literally 3 mins walking distance! So far I've actually made about £700 from cashes/winning 3(?) of their tournaments so far!

No more then £20 buy in, super soft players. Mondays are the best as its free to enter with a small starting stack, then £5 rebuy after that and there's a lot of players, usually around 100ish rebuys. I do find live annoying though, so slow compared to online, and also a lot of people talking rubbish! xD

I went to my local the other day, they were playing £5/5 and it was limper's city. I watched for 30 mins and guys were taking the worst lines ever.

One guy was playing every hand and just check calling when he hit anything. I wish I had the roll to jump in Sad

Welcome to the site, should start your own journey on here!
