killjoy1987: What casino is it mate? What saturday tournament do they offer? We are going to London in October for the NFL and looking for a nice tourney on the Saturday

I live in Milton Keynes, about 50 miles north of London. Sorry I'm not too familiar with London, there used to be some cool poker rooms but I'm not so sure anymore. I think Aspers Casino (same brand as mine) in Stratford (in the shopping centre near the Olympic Stadium) should do the same tournaments. Try see here! - http://www.aspersstratford.co.uk/poker-schedule.html

@Harvie
Thanks man! Yeah there was a really funny hand on Monday actually. Dealer (self dealt in this tournament til Final Table) exposes a Q during the hand, so it becomes the burn card. UTG limps in, so do like 2 others, big blind raises like 6x or something. UTG shoves 40bb or so, some other dude calls and big blind tanks for ages...

He finally calls, and shows QQ saying "It was a tough call because I have one less out". Very pessimistic view of having QQs, but ok lol.

UTG proudly turns over Q6. O______o

Other guy has 22, and QQ wins the hand for a massive pot, of which this guy loses half to me a few hands later and to another guy when he cant fold 99 to J high flop.

So we asked UTG guy why he went in with Q6, and he told us that last week they had an exposed card. Except that they decided to use that card as the first one on the flop, so he thought he had made a pair already! hahaha =D

Good Day All,My names Rob (but all call me Robbie)I have been playing poker on and off just recreational, whilst working abroad 3 or 4 times a week. Hi
I'm cairnsy (play as cairnsy07 on stars), i'm 41 and have been playing poker on and off for 10/12 years. I go through periods where I play every day, watch tons on videos, read books etc. Then through work, family life I might not play at all for 6 months.

For years I only played sit and go's. About a year ago i found zoom and I'm addicted. I was playing full ring 2nl and have a win rate of 12bb/100 over 500k hands. I am trying to transition to six max and I suck, I've played 80k hands only 3bb/100.

I ran my hands through leak buster and have F grades on checkcalling 3 streets, triple barreling to often, calling flop cbet and W$SD%. My biggest problem is not believing players with crazy wild HM stats, but they always have me beat!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey y'all

My name is Huy Kieu, and Avizura on 2+2. I'm 19 years old and my niche is 6-max NLHE (prefered zoom). My main stakes are 10 to 25NL, never really broke through, but that should change soon as I applied for a stake. I've been playing poker for a year now since I turnt 18 and I live in The Netherlands.

I've also been a master tier 400LP player in EUW, hitting the top 400 before I retired (I tried to go pro, but school was in my way and also my parents, so I gave up on that dream). Also I played a couple of live events, the biggest one being in Antwerpen in Belgium, playing for an audience of 5k+ people on live stage.

Other than that, I'm a pretty normal asian kid, but a really cool one Smile

So i deposited on PKR and started playing 2 nl, that was 20 days ago now, im beating it fo 2 BB for 100 and i must say im pretty disapointed, comparing my stats from 2 years ago when i was beating zoom nl 2 on stars fo 6,5 BB im feeling confused ( maybe its the sample which is around 32k on PKR and around 55k hands on stars but still) is it posible that the rake on PKR is so high that it cutes my winrate in half or am i that rusty. i need advicee. anyway since im taking poker much more serious this time i will be regular on the forum so see u and good luck at the tables Laugh

Hi everyone! I'm Fred Moss, 27yo, been playing poker for the past 6 years. Mainly NL and PLO, but I am a well rounded player with decent knowledge of pretty much every games out there. Played online mostly PLO25 to PLO200 and I used to be a resident cash game player at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal, where I was grinding NL2k and PLO5k live games. I had a huge BR breakdown once my staking deal ended and I was too stubborn to drop in limits and I busted... so I took a year off tables getting back to a real job... putting money on the side, and studying the game, and I am actually looking forward to going back to the tables and actively participate in forums for motivation.

Nice transition to cash! Way more fun imo.

Any big wins along the way? Are you a chef or general worker?

I'm Sarah, 27 years old and I've been playing a lot of poker on and off since I was around 20. The highest I've played is NL25 (With a little NL50 when following a fish who was shoving all in preflop with a load of junk, and any top pair weak kicker on a flop). In the years of playing, I expect I've played at least 500k hands, possibly more, and have been a small winner overall.

One of my dreams would be to turn poker into a decent income, as it's always just been playing mostly for fun, but with the benefit of making a little money!

I'm also really excited to have been accepted onto the staking team, and I feel like it's a great opportunity, as it allows me to play stakes I don't necessarily have the bankroll for, and one of the big benefits is all the support and coaching that comes with it. I feel like the opportunity will help me develop from being a minor winner, to the point where I'm crushing the games and making some nice money!

Yup, sadly, BR was lost only in poker... as funny as it might sound, I don't consider myself a gambling type of guy. I've studies pretty much every game in casinos, and with the horrible odds players have, it doesn't really give me a taste for the games. Once in a while with friends, in AC or Vegas, I might sit at a Blackjack table, because I have some basic knowledge of card counting and know the GTO strat... which means, that I either win small or lose small (especially since I play 5$ or 10$ tables)

As for the biggest pot... I'll remember all my life... it was actually a messed up session. It was 2 years ago. I was sitting at the table with Erik Cajelais and Sam Chartier, but the rest of the table was filled by rich old guys that had no idea whatsoever they were doing. It was during a WPT at Playground, so tables are always beautiful in these times. Soon in the session, I doubled up so I was sitting on a 12-13k stack maybe. A guy that was way too drunk and playing basically 100% of hands pre-flop had around 10k too, and the rest were between 2k and 5k.

It's a 5-10-(20) mandatory straddle game very deep. So there is a straddle, UTG limps, UTG + 1 raises, pretty much everybody call, and I'm sitting on the button with JTT9ds, so I 3-bet.... and get 5 calls.

Flop : T-8-4 rainbow.

Someone donks-pot the flop, 1 fold, the rest calls, so I raise it at that point and get 2 calls with the whale 10k deep still in the hand.

Turn : 7 still rainbow

Action checks to me and I bet, other guy raises, whale call, I shove, guy calls, and whale goes into tank and finally makes the call. It was a 27k-ish pot.

We open our hands and the other guy obv has AJ97 so we're chopping but I'm freerolling the FH, and the whale opens Q988.

River : J

... Which gives the whale a higher straight and he scooped everything :(. I have to admit this one hurt for quite a while.

Hi all, my name is Kebap!

I've been playing poker for some years - only micro stakes, and not even winning much. Just joined this site to go to your nice school, really get some foundations down.

The Poker Academy test games were my first stop just some minutes ago. I tried it three times and scored 3 points, then 2, finally 1 point. You know what I mean?

OK got to find my next stop before the trainer loses patience. See you

Hi, my name is David, and I am an intermediate to advanced player that plays on 888Poker and Pokerstars. I'm not the most profitable player and I could use some coaching, especially on cash games. Hope to hear from you all sometime.
