Yes it is totally safe IMO. I live just outside of the Jaco area, very well known for its surf. I have been here 4 years and never had any problems. I run a hotel and we have never had anyone rob us or hassle us, other than the municipality Cheeky

I think it is a really good place to go to for people looking to get out. The language is not to hard to learn and lots of people speak some english. Ha s alot of amenities we are accustomed too. In general the people are friendly. I can't say for sure it is the best place in the world as I haven't been to enough others to know, but it is pretty good and amazingly beautiful as you probably know.

If nothing else it is a good place to start

BluffCityFish: Im not sure if this is where I introduce myself at BUT, here goes. I am 24 looking to make a nice profit here in the USA playing ACR and Bovada mainly bovada im starting with 300 on acr and 1700 on bovada gonna grind up 25nl 6max occasional shot at 50 full ring not sure if i should do 50nl 6max or Full ring im gonna feel it out I guess the 300 on ACR will be for more heads up and spin n go strat.

Hopefully you find this post Bluffcityfish. How long have you been playing for? I find full ring boring but it's always full of fun players because the regs find them boring to! Make the most of this site, there are tons of great videos and articles, plus you can request a review from Jon to check your play!

Hi everyone,
my name is Filip. I am 18 years old, live in beautiful little country called Croatia and I just finished high school.
I play poker for about a year now, NL20 6-max at 888poker. I found this site a long time ago and it really helped me improve my game.
So I guess it's time to give something back Smile

Hey Filip, good of you to finally join the chat Cheeky

Do you play on any other sites? I heard 888 is one of the softest!! I don't think we have any other Croatians here! I could be wrong. You should get involved in some of the hand discussions in the poker strategy thread. You'll find that helps your game too. Also posting hand for all of us to discuss!

Currently I'm only playing on 888 but I'll probably add another one this month because you can play a max of 6 tables there. Yeah it is really soft... there are some guys who are losing 100bb/100 over a few k hands lol

Hi! I'm an IT consultant. I'm not new to poker but I finally have a nice bankroll to take it to the next level. I play full ring $1/$2NL live cash games in the U.S.
I definitely want to go micro-stakes online and increase my level. I'm also interested in playing Omaha.

I play around 5-6 hours a week. $10.88 profit / hour at the really slow 30 hands / hour live games =-p
I just play as a hobby and can't wait to go busto since I'm not even a PRO, haha!

Yo!

Nice stuff and its fun to have a live grinder who takes the game seriously on our forum! Where in the US do you play these games?

Omaha is an interesting game and does bring a lot of fun to the party....it does tho however bring a ton of variance along for the ride also. I personally play heads up PLO sometimes as i find it fun but 6max/FR or MTTs i find incredibly boring.

Hello everyone, just joined PokerVIP and I must say I'm impressed...
I loved how welcoming those e-mails I got after signing up were, thanks for that.
Usually those types of e-mails from other sites are just boring junk, but PokerVIP made my night... lol

I'm Hugo "War...", 27 years old, I do have more grey hair then my dad, I started playing poker back in High School with friends, got into FullTilt around +- 2008...
Played for about a year, only at micros NLHE then I quit for no reason. Around 2010 I got into PokerStars for awhile, was a complete Fish, lost around 100 bucks and quit again...
Moved to Brazil in 2010, played a few home games during that year... and stayed away from it again, just last month a friend which owns a pub asked me about setting up a small pokerclub in our town and using his pub as our clubhouse... I am in the process right now to setting everything up legally, and for that reason installed PokerStars again, to get a little practice going last month, only to find out there was 2 bucks in there, turned those $2 into $32 dollars of luck...

I'm trying to play at least an hour a day, to practice and learn, so I can maybe be good at it...

Also I'm an engineering major and I teach English to underprivileged kids here in Brazil.

Thanks for having me everyone!
