Hi everyone! My name is Alex im 18, i've just started poker months ago, im pretty much stuck so im trying to learn from every website every lesson, because i feel so unexperienced in every move. First of all i've allways been the kind of guy that was good in every game, i switched to Hearthstone (an online card game, quite famous) and i've become one of the best Spanish players of the scene, earning 500€ in 3-4months, traveling around Spain playing tournaments by 2 known e-sports organization, which payed me everything bassically to play by his name. I feel like the game has gone in a wrong direction and it doesen't entertain me as much atm, plus is not that worth it talking about money to play it just for earning money (this happens to a lot of pros). So i decided to switch to other game, but, i couldn't find any game that fit's my playstyle or that i enjoy. Suddenly i remembered that MANY hearthstone pros played poker for a living and they switched to Hearthstone, but they still have enough money to live from poker, and now here i am. To be honest i never invested much time in poker, i mean i played a bit with friends, and i enjoy it a lot , also, i saw some pokerstars tournaments in tv in the past, but i've never been like a big fan, although i was pretty good. My goal is to maximize my earnings with poker and, to basically be better, learning from my mistakes, because this is not about wining money (Hearthstone is the same in this aspect) this is about becomming a better player, that allways makes good choices, THEN, the money will come (I guess :P). I played freeroll tournaments for weeks and i play like free-chipbased tournaments, to keep training myself and to not make the obvious mistakes for the time when i use my real money. But afterall, i have a 20€ bankroll and I DONT KNOW WERE TO START! I mean, i dont see myself at a wining position, i see myself wining 1 game loosing 2 (just a feeling, havent tried with real money). So... any advice? Where should i start from? Im reading all the articles of the webpage, but im not looking at the videos, theyre too long for me, if you recommend me like 1 or 2 i could definetly watch them.
Also talking about mindset i learnt A LOT from Hearthstone, there you loose like 1/3 games without having the chance to win it, even in tournaments so you dont play to win all the games, you play to maximize the chances to win your games. I think with poker is the same, sometimes you will make a play that looses you the game, but afterall if you repeat it you'll win more times than you'll loose.
Thank you very much for reading all this info, i read the forum and it looks really friendly and nice!
PS: Sorry about my English, im much better when it comes to talking the language than writing it
