Hello, I finally registered an account at PokerVip. Been reading the forum post and twitter in the background for couple of months. My real money poker journey was started on pokerstars playing Fifty50, and it was totally different (much more difficult) from the poker games I played on my ipad.

You have probably notices that Betfred, TitanPoker and 770 all have the same software. You should consider trying out somewhere like Unibet, Yachting or even PartyPoker just to get a feel for how the games are elsewhere.

Hi My name is Michael..can be called Mike. I started playing back in the days when online poker was legal in the U.S , Full Tilt,Poker Stars ect. I live in Las Vegas and have recently got back in to playing since there are a couple of site legal here. I am trying to get more serious about learning how to play better. I came across a video on you tube from this site and came to the realization that I might be somewhat of a fish myself. I want to learn how to play like a pro and no longer be fishy.

I am returning to online poker after several years. I don't know anyone else who plays, which makes it harder to learn. I am from the US and play Bovada. I have started looking at videos and find it difficult to know how to find what is best to watch.

I used to win at 3/6, 5/10 10-seat limit on Pacific, then broke even at Full Tilt, thanks to Rakeback at 9-seat 2/4, 3/6 with much tougher competition after Pacific left the U.S.

Now I have started with $500 at Bovada, am playing more 6-max than 9 at limits like .10/25 and 25/50 both FL and NL. I've been surprised how difficult it is. I've been losing so far, down to $350. I read quite a few full ring limit books but know much less about NL. Am eager to look at coaching videos in an organized way, but haven't figured out what that is. I also use Holdem indicator, which seems far less useful than Poker Tracker, but at least it works on Bovada.

So in Vegas why does one play online and not live? Are the cash games still juicy when the WSOP is not running?

I have played in Vegas a lot and imagined if i lived there i could just sit in the bellagio everyday and take the tourists money.

Ok, so Ive played on and off for a long time and not really got anywhere. I started around 2008 and remember 1 tabling SNGs thinking I was going to be rich haha. I also remember the first time I played a cash game and people were 3betting me I was like "OMG What is that move they all keep doing?!" which also makes me laugh now. I have finished an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and want to take the game seriously. I have the software just not enough time it would seem somedays. But now is the time to put some proper effort into getting better and look forward to getting involved with the community.

Yeh its pretty good. They hold GUKPTs also so thats when the casino really heats up!
