Dealing with the habitual pot bloater.

Pot bloaters thoroughly frustrate me. I don't understand why they are building the pot for in all likelihood, someone else to enjoy, yet I find myself contributing into it just to see a flop. How can I change this losing cycle?

Hey mate,

When this happens you need to tighten your range, this means fold average hands like 78, 98s, JT A2 which can't make strong pairs and calling or re-raise with hands like AK/AQ/KQ, which do make strongs pairs.

You say you 'want to see a flop' which tells me you're playing too many hands.

You should read this section about starting hand ranges to get you started.

Good advice thanx. I find myself contributing every time I try and limp in or defend my blind. Especially on the flop when he bets just to bloat the pot more so someone else can win a massive pot.
