Hi Jason.

Maybe the most obvious question: what you think made you a successful poker player? If more detailed, what mindsets and perceiving of BRM/ variance/ sessions/ volume/ education/ a-game distinguish you from less successful players?

Would you tweet a dick pic for $100,000?

Do you really have time to study all formats of poker you play? Or do you focus on HU studying and playing, and just instincts at the rest of the formats? Maybe you do have time since you do this for a living, but how did you used to study before you did this for a living? Smile

I've been playing HUSNG and most of my time goes studying and playing this format. I can't study 6-max cash or else I would be spending too much time on both, yet mastering none.

Should I focus on one format or split my time more efficiently between these two formats? Will the skills at one cash format also improve my poker at another cash format?

Thanks for your support Smile

Natural cognitive ability, background in gaming, theoretical and mathematical approach to the game, good network of friends, disciplined BRM and lack of tilt or a big gambling problem.

I used to focus primarily on HUNL when action was more robust, now I play more ring games, live games, mtts, etc. Not really easy to answer since i change up what i'm doing quite frequently. I would say if you are a novice at the game, pick up short stack ring games first then learn deep stack ring, then short stack and deep stack HU, your skill set should naturally progress like that anyways.

Possible? yes. Likely at all? not really You really need to study a bunch, get coaching, and mostly just run good. Rake is super high at the micros you really need to be beating it for a good clip to even consider moving up.

not sure who is considered good or bad by the general public these days but there are tons of extremely weak mtt players who have it a streak of good luck and i feel are considered way better than they are by the public based on recent results alone.

Yes

HU is the most skill intensive form of poker and most regs who still play for a living are very good now. There are probably easier ways in poker to make money but HU to me is a lot more action packed and fun than any other form of poker
