This one has been on my radar since last week. Have enjoyed the journey so far. But have to point out straight away that you will have that early 1800s London theme all through it, so if you're not into historical portrayals this one might not be for you. Tom Hardy being the lead should say it all. It's one of those Mad Max like roles that really suit him. Also it might seem to be a bit slow moving at first, but it's worth the wait.

I have watched two episodes of this and definitely finding it interesting although a bit slow like you said. Hardy plays those dark kind of characters so well, really rate him as an actor and will keep watching no doubt!

The trailer looks really interesting. Ever since I saw Hard in "Locke" I'm a huge fan of his work so I might have to check this show out.

Santa Clarita diet!

Very gooooood and the guy actor is hilarious

I really like Timothy Olyphant (the guy actor). He's always hilarious during interviews (great comedic timing) so I might have to check this one out.

Unfortunately, "Suits" isn't that great after the break and it's also the first time the quality of the show deteriorated significantly which makes me weirdly nostalgic and kinda depressed. I was with the show from the beginning which means that I was a young 22 or 23-year-old when I saw the great, smart and energetic pilot episode. Now I'm pushing thirty and the fact that "Suits" isn't that great anymore makes me weirdly self-conscious. I love how Netflix introduced everyone to the TV show binge culture because now similar moments of self-reflection based on a long-running TV show will be much harder to come by Laugh

Thankfully the season finale of Suits was pretty damn excellent. They managed to make the most out of the dumbest storyline in the history of the show, the pacing was spot on, they added just the right amount of nostalgia to the mix and made one of the last notes sour enough so as not to overwhelm the fans of the show with the ultimate sweetness. I'm a sucker for a good redemption story and it's nice to see that the writers finished really strong what was overall a disappointing lackluster half of the season.

Yeh Timothy is hilarious in this....it is all I kept thinking throughout is how dry and well timed his humor is.

Deffs worth checking out Smile

I finished watching "Horace and Pete" and while this won't be true for everyone I think this is probably the best piece of television you can see right now. It's a show written and directed by Louis C.K. (you can get it on his website). It's slow, cerebral, raw and real; balancing somewhere between drama and a dark comedy. It looks more like a stage play than a classic TV show and it's unapologetic about it (or anything else for that matter). It kinda feels like the story that Luis C.K. really wanted to tell, he thought it was worth telling and he really didn't care that much if people like it. "Horace and Pete" is not easy to watch but I loved every minute of it. If you're in a mood for a TV Shows that stands out and requires a bit more of your attention "Horace and Pete" is exactly what the doctor ordered.

It's a real gem indeed. I would describe it almost like theater wrapped into a notion of a TV show. I saw an interview with C.K. and he pointed out that he wanted to create something of his own and completely disregard all the money making guidelines of TV at this time. You can certainly feel that every minute you watch it. Then again, I am a fan of dark comedy and of Louis C.K.

The Young Pope - pretty weird series and I probably don't understand it. 6/10 (8.5/10 on IMDB)

Iron fist - just started. Another marvel universe series, new character introduced. something I will like for sure.

I binged on Iron Fist last weekend and it was far better than the critics would lead me to believe. I was a bit apprehensive given how I wasn't able to get through Luke Cage (even though I'm a fan of Daredevil and Jessica Jones), but Iron Fist was fun in comparison. I still believe that every Netflix superhero show to date would've benefited from shaving around three episodes from their total runtime but overall it's easy to excuse a few moments of boredom caused by slow pacing.

Legion Speechless

Holy Shit, where do you even begin to describe this show?. If this doesn't cleansweep the next award ceremonies, some judges need to die Laugh

Is it really that good? I might have to check it out.

Ok, I finished Legion and it was not at all what I expected it to be. Legion is what you get when you realize that even though superheroes can kick ass and smash shit up is perhaps not the most interesting thing about them. This show is truly excellent piece of television, especially the first half which feels kinda like David Lynch movie by way of "The Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd, but with a welcomed touch of familiarity commercial Marvel stuff usually provides (meaning that the narrative is bat shit crazy and of the rails by the regular viewer standards but not so much that it's impossible to follow or relate to - the show is still tight). Unfortunately, after that Legion get's a bit too "superheroy" and deteriorates slightly, but it's still well worth the watch.

The only TV show I've watched in the last 2 years has been Game of Thrones. I've been having more free time lately and started watching Westworld. Only 5 episodes in so far but it's pretty cool plot.

Not read the last few pages of this thread but guessing it's been mentioned at least a few times.

You could do a lot worse picking only two TV shows to watch. Westworld was absolutely great, the pilot episode was among the best I've ever seen and it's chock full of amazing scenes like this one:

Managed to get through it in 2 sittings. Was really good, better when high lol. Next up is Season 11 of Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I just finished the first season and it was pretty great. The show asks some very interesting questions about the future of humanity and technology and it does so in a surprisingly subtle way. The main plot isn't the main strength of the show so I'm not sure how good season two will be, but so far I can definitely recommend the show.
