Yeh but for some reason I just stopped posting updates.

Here was my time on the 10k:

I was pretty happy with it since I was running on a bad ankle. I could barely walk on it for a week after and haven't run since. I've been hitting the weights pretty hard and eating plenty so I've gained a fair amount of muscle in the last month. I'll keep that going til the end of the year then start training for a half marathon next year and try to lean out.

@jongordon84 Congrats on a good time despite the injury! I doubt I'll ever be able to compete in 5k not to mention a half marathon (due to the various injuries I managed to accrue during my amateur football "career") but it sounds like a great goal to have.

Since the last post... bad ankle continued, plus bad shoulder, bad elbow, multiple hernias and put my back out for the last few weeks. I feel 20 years older than I am. But today I did some pressups. Baby steps...

I can relate. Between multiple ankle tweaks, weakened knee (caused by the lack of support from the right quad that I pulled a decade or so ago), and hamstrings that are tighter than medieval chastity belt (not to mention nagging lower back issues, lightly messed up shoulders and ulnar nerve entrapment) I feel like an old man sometimes. At least I can still lift some weights and do a few rounds on a heavy bag. I guess we all have to work with what we have Smile

Me, @fergrberger and @PkrGremlin are currently on a 13 week "ultimate sweat" challenge, 1 week down and all did pretty good, I lost 4lb following the Slim Fast diet plan. 12 weeks to go!
