So for the Unibet - the client doesn't load, it just keeps loding forever at this stage:

The log file shows:

So yeah, it's stuck at "Initializing remote assets".

I found some guys having somewhat of a similar problem - https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/Bug-Reports/poker-login/td-p/13112/page/3, and one member wrote: " resolve my login problem.
Just install old Nvidia GT610 in to pci-e slot with last driver 376.09 for windows 7 64bit.
I think that poker app for windows do not support intel integrated vga first and second generation or drivers for them.."

At Betfair it's kid of the same - I get the white screen for login:

I tested with my old win 7 laptop and both rooms worked.

Both of support teams have forwarded this to their IT team, but I haven't heard from them heh.

Can't really say much about Unibet but the ipoker issue looks similar to what I personally encountered back when the Windows 10 had its release and they still used the old version of the software.

Try THIS solution if you haven't yet and get back to me.
Posted 7 years ago
Yeah I tried that already, but the white screen issue apparently is something else then the black sceern :/
Posted 7 years ago
I assume you also tried updating your operating system/graphics card drivers? Are you using a VPN?
Posted 7 years ago
Updated driver now, but no improvements. I've tried both with and without VPN (should be working without).

I'm still not convinced GPU is at fault but I can't really reproduce the problem so let's hope that GT 1030 helps. And if not you can always use it to waste a bunch of your time playing Counter Strike or something like that Laugh

Haha, after 2 days of waiting got top notch response from Unibet support Laugh

"Following our recent conversation about poker client, I contacted my poker department and they advised:

Please uninstall the client and make sure that you install it to the C: directory, that is likely the issue
."

To which I responded:

"Hello!

Thank you for your reply!

Could you get back to IT department and kindly ask them to read the info I provided properly as I mentioned, that "2. There are no poker logs in C: drive (although game client is installed in C:), but I found 2 relevant poker logs on D: drive.."

Thank you and have a nice day!
"

Got Betfair working though - tried a different VPN and that did it.

Classic "have you tried turning it off and on again?" response. But speaking of simple solutions that are easy to miss, have you tried right clicking on the poker room .exe file and changing the 'compatibility settings' in 'properties'? You can try running the poker room in Windows 7 compatibility mode and as an administrator and see if that helps.

Yeah, have tried that as well. Anyway, not gonna be playing on Unibet for a while, so let's leave it be Laugh

Hey is this thread still avaible i need your help man. I need laptop.

Please provide me with some basic info:
1) What's your budget? 3000 TL (Turkish Lira).
2) What will you be using your PC for? Main goal play poker. Maybe i can play games like Football Manager and heartstone.
3) If it's mostly for poker provide me with some details about your poker sessions. 4-6 Table, Pokertracker and converter.
4) Do you need a monitor, operating system, mouse, keyboard? No.
5) Where do you live? Turkey.

@Barkn Google tells me that 3000 TL is worth around 600-650 euro so I should be able to set you up with something decent, especially if you're not interested in gaming (Football Manager and Heartstone can run fairly well even on an integrated graphics card).

The problem is that I don't know your regional prices or stores so let's try this. I'll give you two laptop models that should be around that price range, check if you can find those in your local online store and if so, send me the link so I can take a closer look (every laptop model has customizable specs these days meaning that even though two laptops have the same model name they can have different components inside). If you can't find those or they are outside of your price range send me a link to your local online store anyway so I can take a look at all the other options available.

So anyway here are the models: Acer Aspire F5-573G and Lenovo ThinkPad L570. Check those out and get back to me. Happy hunting!

Now that I have a website with regional prices I'll do some more research and let you know. Two more questions, is it possible to increase the budget and if so by how much? And the more important one. Do you use an external monitor to play poker or will you rely on the monitor that's built into the laptop?
Posted 7 years ago
Thank you very much for your effort. yes I use an external display. Old AOC E2270S. I want to keep using the converter. If it really is worth it, I can raise the price to 3500 but it really makes me very hard.

Ok, among all the laptops that I found on the website that you provided and within your price range these two look like solid options:

Dell Inspiron 15

Casper Nirvana F300

The main difference between the two is that the Dell comes without the operating system so you'd have to install your own copy of windows if you have one. Also, I'm not sure if the 256GB drive is an SSD or HDD drive (huge difference in laptop speed, SSD drives are much faster so before you decide to order that Dell, ask about it).

Casper has the SSD and included Windows so you're getting all that you need out of the box. Unfortunately, given that Casper is a local company I have no idea how reliable their laptops are. Before going with this option I'd search some Turkish websites for the opinions about the company.

Nevermind the Dell that you linked later is cheaper. Still, no Windows included but it has the SSD confirmed: http://www.hepsiburada.com/dell-inspiron-3567-intel-core-i7-7500u-8gb-256gb-ssd-r5-m430-fredoos-15-6-fhd-tasinabilir-bilgisayar-fhdb50f8256c-p-HBV0000086S8W?magaza=Elmac%C4%B1k

So if you have your own Windows copy (or you know how to pirate it which I obviously can't condone) and you know how to install it, then I'd go with this one.

EDIT:
You can also buy windows separately on the same website which would still cost less than the Dell that I linked previously: http://www.hepsiburada.com/microsoft-windows-10-pro-oem-32-64bit-orijinal-lisans-anahtari-fqc-08977-p-HBV00000571Y4

Memory of me only thinking. Can I add afterwards?

And whats your idea about that one?

Barkn: Memory of me only thinking. Can I add afterwards?

I'm not sure if I understand. You'll have to rephrase this question. If you're asking about adding more RAM or additional drives then it depends on the laptop. Most laptops allow you to add more RAM but adding additional hard drives or SSD might not be possible depending on the laptop model.

As for the last link you posted, the PC looks fine but it doesn't have an SSD drive which is pretty important for poker. Also, you don't need a GTX1050 graphics card for Football Manager and Hearthstone. Lastly, Abra is another company that I don't know anything about so I can't vouch for it as far as reliability goes. Dell laptops, on the other hand, are pretty solid in that regard.
