Whaat! We've had 5 episodes:

1. First Time Again - Epic, so many walkers!
2. JSS - One of the bloodiest of the entire show!
3. Thank You - Nooooooooo!
4. Here's Not Here - yes slow but nice back story for Morgan and well needed respite after first three.
5. Now - also slow yes but some nice acting and dialogue. And come on what a start to the series. This is just a little calm before things ramp up again.

I have a love-hate relationship with The Walking Dead. I'm a fan of the graphic novel and even though the show is in my opinion a lot worse I stuck with it. Recent Jefferey Dean-Morgan casting means that this won't change in the near future, but I really dislike some aspects of the show. Dialogues are overdramatic and really hard to relate to, people break into speeches all the time and no one does that in real life. Also, the pacing isn't always on point. So yeah The Walking Dead is far from the best show I've ever watched. but it has some great moments. It's uneven but good enough.

I agree. It's almost as if I'm trapped at this point. My instinct is saying just to drop it at this point but that devil on my shoulder wants me to follow through with it till the end. I'm that way with most series I get invested in.

Here are a few shows with potential that have come out this fall:

Blindspot - A mix of mystery/action/conspiracy. So far it looks pretty promising, the premise is pretty original, as far as my knowledge goes, which is a huge plus in this day and age.

Limitless - Basically, the whole concept is copied from the movie. The show, unlike the movie, has more of a playful/comedy spin on it, so people who like lighter/relaxing shows that still are interesting, this one is for you!

The Last Kingdom - A another historical series presented by the History Channel. Quite similar to Vikings, but this time they focus on the Danes and their attempt to conquer the last English kingdom of Wessex.

FargoSeason 2 - Just like True Detective season 2, it begins completely fresh with new characters and a new story. So far they seem to have done a good job of maintaining that Season 1 atmosphere and developing some interesting characters - but let's be honest here, beating the Lorne Malvo character from season 1 is near impossible.

Into The Badlands - The pilot just aired earlier this week. So far it looks very promising and certainly the one show I'll probably enjoy the most this fall. Although I'm very biased towards anything post-apocalyptic/fall of civilization and martial arts. If you're like me, this is an early Christmas gift!

Ash vs Evil Dead - In the age of zombies everywhere comes a pretty nice spin on it - a proper horror comedy. So far seems fun, although I have only seen 2 episodes so far.

Gangland Undercover - While this is not a new show strictly speaking, I did notice that a lot of you guys loved Narcos and this one has a similar premise only examining a biker gang. Nowhere near as good as Narcs though.

Hope one of these will suit you and I will just leave you guys with this (spoiler alert):

After now watching this weeks episode, I stand by my comments lol the storyline is barely moving

@Exstinctum Fargo is great. One of my favorite tv shows ever made. While I think that Lorne Malvo character was absolutely exceptional, I actually feel like the second season of Fargo might be a bit better than the first one overall (though this obviously remains to be seen). I watched the pilot of Into the Badlands and while it didn't sweep me off my feet I might give this show a chance.

I Heart Downton Abbey. I am watching it all over again at the moment. There must be someone on here that enjoys it too? Wink Funny how there are a lot of men that love it but probably don't admit it, thats pretty sad also really haha.

Honestly, if you have not given it a go, do. It is full of amazing actors, the storylines are very well written and you can tell it took a lot of money to make, its certainly a high class program! Its actually very funny, parts of it will make you laugh out loud. Maggie Smith as the dowager countess is absolute TV gold Laugh

Just started Scorpion...shall report back Smile

The report is here.

Scorpion trailer

So basically a bunch of geniuses who solve problems for the government. Doesn't sound great, doesn't sound bad but my goooooodness they throw some curve balls in there and it is imo one of the best tv shows ever made. I have said this a lot i know but trust me this is well worth a watch.

Aside from the crime fighting you learn a lot about geniuses and how they see the world/how they are seen. Also their is a kid genius involved who they are somewhat helping to raise and they basically all talk about how being a genius kid is a nightmare as you get bullied and don't really understand why kids prefer to kick a ball or do nothing rather than learn about well everything. So their is a lot of personal/emotional bits throughout.

Also as they are 'loners' it is like a family even including their handler who has history with the main guy.

Also they are not just behind a computer screen making algorithms to solve these crimes but also some of them are pretty heroic which you will see (no spoilers)

All in all 5 stars for me and can't wait for season 2.

I totally get what you're saying. I actually dropped this show like 3 times already, but I always end up coming back because the graphic novel is so good and rare episodes of the show that follow the comic book are also pretty good. It doesn't change the fact that the average episode of the show isn't great, but I absolutely adore Jeffrey Dean Morgan and he has been cast as the next main villain recently so I'll suffer through the bad episodes to watch his performance.

Yeah, TWD games are great. Much better than the TV show imo. All in all TV show is probably the worst thing produced using "The Walking Dead" name.
