MattVIP: I have a love-hate relationship with The Walking Dead. I'm a fan of the graphic novel and even though the show is in my opinion a lot worse I stuck with it. Recent Jefferey Dean-Morgan casting means that this won't change in the near future, but I really dislike some aspects of the show. Dialogues are overdramatic and really hard to relate to, people break into speeches all the time and no one does that in real life. Also, the pacing isn't always on point. So yeah The Walking Dead is far from the best show I've ever watched. but it has some great moments. It's uneven but good enough.
I agree. It's almost as if I'm trapped at this point. My instinct is saying just to drop it at this point but that devil on my shoulder wants me to follow through with it till the end. I'm that way with most series I get invested in.
Here are a few shows with potential that have come out this fall:
Blindspot - A mix of mystery/action/conspiracy. So far it looks pretty promising, the premise is pretty original, as far as my knowledge goes, which is a huge plus in this day and age.
Limitless - Basically, the whole concept is copied from the movie. The show, unlike the movie, has more of a playful/comedy spin on it, so people who like lighter/relaxing shows that still are interesting, this one is for you!
The Last Kingdom - A another historical series presented by the History Channel. Quite similar to Vikings, but this time they focus on the Danes and their attempt to conquer the last English kingdom of Wessex.
FargoSeason 2 - Just like True Detective season 2, it begins completely fresh with new characters and a new story. So far they seem to have done a good job of maintaining that Season 1 atmosphere and developing some interesting characters - but let's be honest here, beating the Lorne Malvo character from season 1 is near impossible.
Into The Badlands - The pilot just aired earlier this week. So far it looks very promising and certainly the one show I'll probably enjoy the most this fall. Although I'm very biased towards anything post-apocalyptic/fall of civilization and martial arts. If you're like me, this is an early Christmas gift!
Ash vs Evil Dead - In the age of zombies everywhere comes a pretty nice spin on it - a proper horror comedy. So far seems fun, although I have only seen 2 episodes so far.
Gangland Undercover - While this is not a new show strictly speaking, I did notice that a lot of you guys loved Narcos and this one has a similar premise only examining a biker gang. Nowhere near as good as Narcs though.
Hope one of these will suit you and I will just leave you guys with this (spoiler alert):
