Two questions. What are your current PC specs and why the decision to upgrade? Also, what's the model name/number of that monitor?

@JonnyVIP If you are going for desktop, I would say you should go for 16+ memory (RAM).

My current one is actually better I think than both of the above and i am upgrading because it's old.

At least get my name right when tagging me @mattusko

oh so lame. I am very sorry @Jon-PokerVIP (beer).

Ps: Wanted to troll and tag jonnyVIP again, but you don't have "troll face" emoji in the list.

Ok, the monitor is great and a worthy upgrade, but as for the PC I can vaguely remember that you had a pretty strong one so there's probably no point in upgrading. It's not like the performance of PC parts is deteriorating over time (unless they are close to failure) so there's no point in spending money on a brand new machine.

+1. 8 GB RAM is what laptops had 5 years ago. It's the bare minimum for live streaming, and in a couple of years, gaming software will become too heavy for an 8 GB processor to handle.

I guess, you just need to clean the CPU fan of your current computer with a compressed air container and it will be OK again.

@Jon-PokerVIP i7-4700 is still the cream of the crop when it comes to consumer CPU's. The first PC you posted would actually be a downgrade!!! The second one would maybe be a 10% upgrade when it comes to performance and you most certainly wouldn't notice any difference when it comes to poker! Feel free to buy that sexy monitor but forget about buying a new PC IMO. i7-4770 should be sufficient for all of your poker and streaming needs for at least 2-3 more years (maybe more!).

If you want to refresh your PC experience here are some steps that you can do that will be cheaper and more impactful than buying one of those two new PC's. Feel free to do any/all of them.
1. Buy a can of compressed air and clean the insides of your PC (Guide).
2. Reinstall Windows (make sure to backup your important files first!).
3. If you don't have an SSD drive yet, buy one and install it into your PC. (Samsung 850 EVO).
4. I assume your PC was a prebuilt one in like a generic noisy case? If so you can buy a silenced optimized case like Fractal Design Define R5 or Fractal Define Mini C (choice will be dependant on the size of your motherboard so if you decide to upgrade the case make sure to find help from some tech savvy guy) + a cheap but quiet CPU cooler (Rajintek Themis is a solid choice) and your PC will be much quieter and will look much more elegant. Some of the possible problems with this step - if you bought your PC as a prebuilt option power supply and motherboard can be custom which would make putting your PC into a new case and installing a new cooler tricky (maybe even impossible) so if you go with this step definitely find someone that knows computers and will help you both choose the case/cooler and then install both.

Again, if you can't be bothered to research and do some or all of these steps on your own find a computer savvy guy that will help you. If none of your friends are I assume you can find a guy/company that fixes/upgrades PC's and he/they will do all the stuff I talked above for a few quid.

Wow sick reply man appreciate that a lot!

Ok so I am going to

1) Get my PC cleaned and windows reinstalled. The SSD I have no idea what it really is and have done without one so reckon should be sweet!

2) I have ordered the monitor! I reckon it is going to be a game changer having just one monitor opposed to the 2 I currently have. I have also actually just moved into a new place and have ordered desk, lighting, monitor and some other bits so will do a little setup video or pics so you can all check it out once completed!

Thanks for the advice....saved me £900 Smile

Would anyone recommend an "All in one" PC rather than a desktop or laptop?

My laptop is 2 years old and the slowness nearly drives me to tears sometimes, especially when trying to work and it literally takes minutes even when just clicking between browser tab
