Recently read a couple of Bonds and a couple of Alistair MacLeans.

ThunderBall - Ok read, very Bond. Not much else to say.
The Spy Who Loved Me - Very different to the others and possibly my favourite 007 novel. Could be Fleming's best writing at that time.

Where Eagles Dare - Really fun WWII thriller. 1 big flaw but lots of humour and a non stop pace typical of MacLean.
Ice Station Zebra - cracking read. One of my favourite MacLeans.

Just started The Last Mortal Bond by Brian Staveley. Third in an epic fantasy trilogy. First two were great so I have high hopes for this one. Staveley is a master world builder.
