Holiday plans for 2016 - what's yours?

Posted 8 years agoEdited 8 years ago

Has anyone got anything booked or any places you're thinking about going in 2016?

I'll be back in England in June and really want to make a trip to Las Vegas. My friends want to go to Euro 2016 in France but I think it will be insanely busy, expensive and full of drunk tards.

If I were to go, I'd probably visit a 2nd tier city to get away from the masses.

Anyone want to come and meet me in Thailand? lol.

Let's us know where you're heading in 2016 Time

I'm a die-hard home bird so no holiday plans as of yet, but the idea of visiting Vegas sounds fun.

@herpes4life I've always wanted to go there but not had the chance. Ain't tickets ridic hard to get?

I decided I needed to get away from Bangkok for a few days so visited one of the islands nearby:

I think i might do the series this summer for the full 2 months. I am moving out of my flat mid march and was thinking rather than going straight into a new place i would just chill at my cousins for a couple of months then travel a little bit.

Also going to take my mum/sis/niece away early Sept just for 5 days somewhere like Spain.

Nice idea Jon. I keep thinking lately about the fact that as long as I have an internet connection and my laptop, really I can work from anywhere in the world, we are lucky like that. I would love to do some travelling at some point, but it will be slightly more difficult for me with the kids lol But I am sure I could manage a couple of weeks away somewhere with the family at least and still work while I'm there, would be nice anyway!

You could do some streams from some awesome locations or something would be cool Laugh Assuming that you would work while you travel? Or would you just take some time off?

Those beaches look like heaven @HarvieDrinkSun

Nice pics indeed Harvie, it looks very relaxing there. My best option will probably to be to Asda at some stage this month on the bus, balla style.

Looked at those pics 4 times now and they still look brilliant.

Typical British family holiday on the Isle of Wight for me. Modest and will no doubt piss it down but the kids will enjoy and for me it's a week off work so who cares where right!

Next year I'm planning to take the kids to Disneyland Paris. If I can do that I might, maybe, perhaps, convince the mrs to let me go to Vegas with some mates. They've all been every other year for 6 years and I could never afford it. Next year is the last time since they're all starting to settle down. Now I just need to take down the OPL to pay for it!

Left for Barbados the 20th of January 2016, I'm from Montreal, Canada, still here for a couple of more days. I've been here a few times, my mom is from Barbados and I also got married here as well.

This is the first time however, that I've come to Barbados after becoming somewhat serious about poker. Just got my citizenship papers and wondering what it would be like to play poker and to live in Barbados. We have some rental property here that I manage for my family and I'm also a personal trainer back in Canada so poker wouldn't be my sole source of income thank God.

I like to refer to Barbados as a grown up island in the sense that it's really not a place just get drunk and party for the simple fact that it can be on the expensive side but it's incredibly beautiful and quite safe. For me personally, not running into drunk tourist vomiting all over themselves doesn't bother me.

Coming from the city it does take same getting use to. NOTHING is done in a hurry here, but it does have reliable Internet and once you get use to it, living here it could potentially add years to your life, poker aside.

@colly191091 you booked your tickets and hotel? I want to go but have a feeling everything is going to be expensive AF.

@pinch2712 Got any pictures Pinch? I would love to see what it's like over there, I'm sure everyone here would love to see them too. Rental property, is there a PokerVIP discount if I come over? Laugh

@pinch2712 You can't just drop the Barbados bomb and leave us hanging with no pics! Brag ittttttt

I was lucky last time, but ive heard if u have multiple webpages on at the same time and reload them every 30 sec or so your chances increase to get in and be able to buy. When the tickets are for sale... but thats too late now obv.
Otherwise u can buy tickets for like 1k+ or so afterwards, but expensive
So many hot girls though its unreal.

I'm not a fan of beach holidays at all, Harvie's pics look so boring, and I'm like a vampire in the sun. Prefer city breaks or like Orlando with theme parks and stf. I can't just sit by a pool all day, get bored out me head
