Wow, 5 hours, I hope the weather holds up for you! I'd like Barra for a while after Glasgow, cities are a bit busy for my taste.

We were supposed to go on Wednesday but the ferry has been canceled since then due to weather. I work at sea so not so bad for me, the wife gets sea sick just looking at the water so for her sake I hope its good!

Yeah the city life is a bit much. I'll maybe miss the take aways but thats it Cheeky

I had a day of poker planned today. The wife has finished her maternity leave and went back to work, meaning I'm left with baby duties. I can squeeze in a couple of Double your money" SnG while he naps between 9am - 11am. Once he wakes up its lunch and doing the house work. I planned a night of poker once he went to bed, but someone wasn't up for sleeping tonight so I've had to cut it short.

Things started off well, but then got worse and worse. I bubbled a DYM after losing 2 flips in a row. I then went out in the first hand of another after flopping the nut straight and GII OTF only for villain to hit a set OTT and FH OTR Angry I joined a couple of bounty hunters after with no joy. Thats me for the day as someone is still screaming and I'm getting dirty looks for the other person in the room Cheeky

I'm still at £127 from my initial £50 starting BR last week. Hopefully tomorrow goes better.

A random question - has anyone ever tried to write a note on a player but accidentally sent it in the chat? I've never done it but always worry I'm going to as I've came close before.

haha I never realised it was this common. They must think your a crazy man chatting shit lol I know it will happen to me one day!

Poker

I've not played since Saturday night, when I sat and drank whisky playing 100NL and £33 Double Your Money Laugh I was expecting it to be pretty soft as it was a late Saturday and Sky poker, and I was right! But just because it was soft, doesn't mean I came out a winner. I was also drunk so I was probably 1 of the marks at the table, but I don't really care these days, as long as there are 2 or more terrible players then I'm happy.

My BR is down to £80 (it's actually a few £££ but I'm not including it as I'll probably withdraw it at some point).

I'm going to try and squeeze a couple of games in tonight. But because I'm sober, I think I'll stick to the lower games Wink I kind of have it backwards, I should be playing the lower games when drunk, but fuck it!

Life

Now that I've moved back home I decided to start playing for the local football team again, its been about 12 years since I played for them. 5 mins in to training and I've pulled my left quad, so that dream will have to wait a while longer Laugh

The weather has been good which is a massive bonus to be home as we have some decent beaches:

Our beaches are so good, they even turned one in to an airport Laugh

Its 1 of the only beach airports in the world, and the only 1 that works its timetable around the tide!! There is only 1 plane a day so its not exactly a hard timetable to

I have a week left before going back to work so I think I'll just be taking it easy!

GL all!

Where is it?

Drunk poker ftw! I'm a puss, so I only donk lower stakes if drinking (very rarely play intoxicated)..

The Isle of Barra, Western Isles of Scotland....which means we never get the sun so we can't use the beaches very often!

I'm not taking poker very serious these days so drunk, mid-stakes is the way to go CheekyBeer

Wow looks pretty amazing man! I do the drive to Edinburgh a lot and love the scenic views driving along the coast.

Why have they nailed the plane down, is the crime rate for 100 people so bad there? (I know, I know, jk it's the weather)

I bet windsurfing and sand yachting are awesome. Cool

@Jon-PokerVIP Yeah its alright but time like this (wind and rain) its shit, and thats most of the time...good thing it doesn't rain in the pub Cheeky

@Pwll You were right the first time, they nail it down because we're thieving b*****ds Laugh
TBH I've only been wind surfing one or twice and that was when I was in school. Kind of a waste of a good opportunity!

I played a couple of games last night - £11 DYM and a £22 bounty hunter. AQ < KK and in the bounty hunter I jammed Q7s OTB and got called by A8o. No biggy. I'm now break even, I have a few days to turn it in to something!

I completely forgot about the biggest problem to playing poker while back home:

The internet and phone signal are terrible. I heard its all getting upgraded but who nows when that will happen! Very tilting to say the least.

I think I heard the government have passed some bill or whatever to ensure everybody has access to high speed internet wherever they are, so it should happen sometime this century; that's my prediction anyway. The wheels turn slowly, very slowly indeed.

As a side note, have a nice time while you're home.

I swear I must run super good on Sky as I have never been disconnected lol

Do you play through downloaded software or browser?
Posted 8 years ago
@Pwll Yeah I heard something like that. I wonder if there is a time scale on it, as we could do with it now. and thank you Smile

@Jon-PokerVIP Nothing to do with Sky. The problem is at my end as the internet is just terrible Sad

I'm not allowed out this weekend after going a tad "over the top" last weekend, so I'll try fit as much poker in as possible.

How would you rate your MTT game?
Posted 8 years ago
There are times when I'm a bit lost when stack sizes get awkward. but I play a very TAG game, a lot tighter than cash, until my stack get below a certain point, then its jam city.

I don't think I could rate my own game. But average is the only way I could describe it.
