After the big loss what ever day it was I didn't want to play anymore. Wasn't in bad mood or anything but didn't have interest to play so a low volume week.

Is this at 50NL? If so thats still a great graph. Sick downswing a the end but still profit + RB!
Posted 8 years ago
the +400 was about 125 from 50nl and +275 from 20nl and the -300 at the end was about 100 from 50nl and 200 from 20nl. I made about 70 from rb so yes on the bright side I made about 170 from about 10hrs play so that is a pretty good rate for these limits.

Tables=$100
Rakeback=$430
Total=$530

So not exactly an improvement on last month, I won at the tables but just barely. I can't really say I have a goal for next month it is a bit depressing to only be able to win through rakeback and I am not passionate enough to put in time studying at the moment. Next month I expect my volume will be dictated by my results so if I win I will play more. If I go on a run that will increase my motivation and that is really helpful in poker so i'll keep my fingers crossed. GL to everyone in June.

Never be down about making money man honestly your a winner and that's not something many can say!

You are right, when I count the hourly it still beats Mcdonalds so I should have a better attitude and perhaps invest more into it. I am considering putting in full time volume and study to get good and move up. I will try to put in as much volume as I can this month to get over 1k from rb and if I win at the tables too then I will move away from the speed tables and start table selecting and move permanently to 50nl.

Finally I am on a heater but I won't say it is a breakthrough yet as I am not sure if it is standard heater or improvement as I still have not studied. One thing I changed was a little bit of mindset in that I am doing a lot of things based on instinct which I don't personally think I have a great feel for poker so that is why I am not sure it is an improvement or luck.

Also made about $300 in rb this week so a 1k+ week at 20nl! I have to go to job tomorrow so don't know if I will get in much more hands this week but making money is motivating so we'll see.

The heater continues, almost 2k in the last 7 days played from 20nl speed! I now have some short term goals to end the month I would like to make at least 1500 more and then permanently move back to 50nl and drop the 20nl games. I also want to start adding some more sites so that I can get a similar volume to when I play speed but while table selecting. I can put in one more long day tomorrow (about 7hrs) but then weekend I got job to go to. I am struggling to put in 40hrs/wk at poker as I get stressed from it pretty easily, whether I get a bad beat, make a mistake, or just when I lose I big pot I always want to stop playing. Anybody out there able to just grind 10hrs/day got any tips?
Posted 8 years ago
Wow sick stuff man - you had your eyes on any sites? Can give you some opinions on there and some deals ofc.

I used to grind pretty much 10 hours a day for a good 7 years straight and for me the reason I could do it as I enjoyed it or was reliant on the money.
Posted 8 years ago
I don't know what sites yet I have a couple weeks to decide. When you would grind 10hrs/day how did you do it? Just in one session? No stop loss strategy stuff like that what kind of things did you have in place to hit your hours?

Wicked run man. I thought I was doing ok!! I am inspired to step it up

How do you get PT4 to display Rakeback?

Hi, maybe your advice about playing 54s from utg is the way to go!
Super stuff happening inthat graph man, well played indeed!. Bowing

Sick spell bro congrats!! In terms of long grinds I advise you to take aide notes on your energy, how you are playing etc. This way you are more aware of it so will react quickly and will break when needed. Also when you do this regually you will work out how long you can play at your a game and can then plan future grinds Smile

I don't see the problem opening it although that is a pretty weak one but sometimes why not.
