FG_SpaceLord: In my mind the different limits are comparable to the football leagues. With this mindset I made step down about 7 month ago, from NL5 back to NL2. Was hard the first couple of days, but at least I found my confidence there very quickly. A couple of weeks later i moved up again and did not look back
During downswings I learned that the most important thing is your mental game. I punted soooo much money away because I could not keep my head unaffected. Try to watch some vids of Jared Tendler, they helped me alot (two days ago I heard JNandez say that he payed 40.000€ just for mental coaching from Tendler
)
other than that, keep streaming - you have a follower in me! If you want we can set up a skype call and I look over some hands or your stats. I have a studypartner at BTS and this is very very helpfull.
Thanks, good advice. I've read Tendler's The Mental Game of Poker and it really helped so I'm probably due a reread. I'll check out his videos too.
If I hit 15 buyins down I'll move down to NL2. I have no problem with that.
Thanks for tuning in to the stream. I'm definitely going to continue, I just can't tonight, but I should be back on next week. I'd certainly be up for a skype chat sometime, thanks!
Off the tables I've had some issues which may have contributed to the tilt. Partly connected also is a bad drinking habit. It can't be a coincidence that my best 2 months in the last year were Sep 2017 (no booze), and Jan 2018 (you guessed it, no booze). It's not poker related but I have decided to basically just not drink from now on. I was going to do another dry month for April but after one day I knew that I was done with it. I'm sure I'll have a social drink now and then but my days of drinking at home are gone.
I'll post an update when I'm streaming next. And a highlights video to come this weekend.
