100 games and quite the rollercoaster as expected!

No idea if I did ok, I just stuck the stats in I could find that looked geeky, so any stats interpreters please feel free to laugh.
Waiting around for a couple of weeks for a bit of a bankroll now.

Oh ye, for anyone going to make a vid for the game reviews, the software free trial only gives 15 minutes, but I expect for those more able OBS will be acceptable and will work fine.

Have a nice weekend, I'm off out with the poo machine again to meet swmbo from work.

Hey!

Sounds like you did OK at the spins! $ev is a 100buy-ins, decent!! Did you have any big spins? (Bigger than 6x)

How did you find playing them overall?
Posted 7 years ago
Hi @AshVIP I have no idea if I did good or not yet, still trying to work out how to calculate it properly. I did find something said I should use ITM rather than ROI because it cuts out the prize pool variance, but I'll have to look further into it.

I had a couple of 25X but only won one, apart from that mostly 2X and 4X stuff.

Playing them is ok, I just follow my SHC, stay patient, lose the all ins versus random ranges and move on, easy game. At these mini limits the game is definitely profitable that's for sure.

I submitted a vid for a review by Scrubx so that'll give me something to play around with for a while. I should get loads of feedback from it, I hadn't played for a while and I was a bit random postflop. Played very little lately, mainly due to having a mini bankroll but it's been going ok-ish for all that if a little slow, but then FF at nl5 is often a regfest.
They're bad, but try getting them to put the money in without the nuts, makes for a long day sometimes.

Going to try Betfair when I get some money and see how that compares.

Have a good weekend.

Well I deposited on Betfair and played a few hands. It went 'quite well.'

Speed Poker pool is dismally small, as is the pool in general, but at least first impressions indicate it is a softer group all round, even given some rungood.
I don't particularly like the way things are set up, it makes for frustrating multitabling. For example, the bet slider box is too small so I get it near enough and use the mouse wheel to adjust for now.
Is there a programme like Starshelper or PartyCaption for ipoker I wonder? I'll check it out when I can be arsed.

So, I played 6 standard tables and it gets tiring, partly because concentration levels need to be high just to get betting done to some degree of accuracy so volume isn't a 'thing' here for me. It took 79 minutes to play those hands, just a bit longer than 4 tabling Fastfold on Party eh!? Given the short timebank on Party it would be a nightmare to play there under similar conditions I should think.

So, let's see how it goes, hopefully nl10 by the end of the year if I can tidy my game up enough. Not played much lately but it's still surprising how much one forgets. Obviously I'm not at the unconscious competence stage then init.

Run good, stay warm.

There is one called iPoker Tools I think they have a 30 day trial. I have never played on iPoker, but have heard from some guys that iPoker in general can be kind of glitchy, especially when you start running 3rd party software with it, so definitely do the trial and make sure it doesn't crash the client to much.

Nice graph!! GLGLGL

@fawltyfelix thanks for the link buddy, I couldn't get the software to work though for whatever reason. I tried Bet Pot as well but I think that was actually obsolete, couldn't even run it. It wasn't alone, the free ipoker mod from here didn't want to play fair either after numerous attempts. Never mind. I hate having fun anyway ...

Apart from that, I think Betfair may just be a little goldmine, lots of limping and casual stuff going on for sure so we'll see.
Played nearly 1K hands yesterday and it gets tiring with so much going on, not at all like fastfold.

With the BR at around 220 now I took a shot at 3X nl10 alongside my 3X nl4 and found no difference in skill level at all, still had all the casual dudesters with short stacks limping and donking out at flops multiway then giving up. Still getting used to the population on here so no real stats yet to back me up, but it seems pretty soft compared to Party.
I lost around $5 overall but that's neither here nor there. note the red line due to the massive fold equity you have in these games sometimes:

Town today then some study - 3bets again! Plenty of time in the day as games are very scarce 'til evenings anyway. What I really need is a BR big enough to split into a couple of sites, but that's for next year, I'm happy playing 6 tables for now.

Plan now is to win enough to get a couple of coachings paid for in Jan/Feb and move to nl10 proper-like.

Laters.

Well, I haven't played a huge amount lately, still hanging around for the next couple of weeks for some cash to deposit and gotta wait for swmbo to get paid.

Got smashed for 5BI in 1K or so hands a couple fo days ago, so my next shot at nl10 will have to wait for a few days.

Yesterday was a good session (apart from getting stacked by some weird gutshot at the start v my set of course), but I still haven't got to grips with people donking out multiway, it's weak point I need to look closer at.

Here's the graf of me 3 tabling Speed;

The weekend is the nuts to play this site, but getting volume in even at Speed can be problematic because of the amount of time people take to play their turn and there're (whatever happened to that word anyway) lots of multiway pots making it slower again. Swings and roundabouts, swings and roundabouts, I'd rather these games than 60K hands a week v a load of nitregs.

So, short(ish) session first then going to town to spend a few bob on a couple of prezzies for the missus.

Hope the weekend went well for you; have fun.

Whew, what a hammering, got my ass handed to me good and proper again! Dull

Anyway, I'm trying to find out more about really, really, yes I mean reeaally, loose games and getting donked into mob-handed and all that fun stuff with very little chance of any FE around. Also, everybody and their brother seem to delay cbet, so gotta combat that somehow to.

It's all good fun until:

Worst hand was getting stacked by an oop mighty 85 soooted in a 4bet pot, trip 5 on the turn v my KK; thanks dealer, gg.

Was down about 9BI on Fastfold, but got a free 5e cash game ticket for whatever reason and sat in on a couple of standard 10e games with 40bb.
Games were easier to play because everyone was so passive so that worked out ok and I got nearly 1/2 of it back ... bosslike of course ... Speechless

So, walk the poo machine, make food for swmbo, then study some stuff and see if that helps. If not, well, it'll be beer - o - clock!

Have a nice weekend.

Fold equity, schmold equity, the comeback is real:

Attached Image

1. Bet sizing changes: thank you so much @Scrubx it works brilliantly, even if I mistime it sometimes.

2. Not completing the SB just because 'reasons.'

3. Stealing postflop: When a limped pot gets checked around on the flop and checked to me on the turn, I betted 70% with any holding I have, air or not = wow some folds at last! Smile

4. Check/raising/raising more flop donkbets when min donked out in limped pot and a caller. Passive limpers/donkbettors do not like raises.

5 Played standard tables instead of fastfold.

6. Don't finish the second bottle of merlot before the end of the session.

Getting there. No doubt the coach/professional types would eat this lot and have a right laugh doing it. Make a vid then! Cheeky

Maybe I'll make a top 10 of ways to beat these games. It'll be good for my memory and I can compare with the big guns.

Have a great weekend guys and gals, I'm off to spend some money on the missus for prezzies again. Looks like Santa's Grotto in our front room.

I fkn hate Christmas, fkn hate it.

Took the advice and played some strong stuff today for a lot of the time, even got a few hero calls in which are harder than bluffs for me. I'd post one but weaktight hand wouldn't play fair.

Roll on Monday, more bloody Christmas shopping, cooking and walking the poo machine in the rain. Oh joy and merriment. Speechless

Back to .easy game' again ...

Weaktight is trying to post hands as xml so no idea what that's shit's all about. Shame, would have been fun to post the guy shipping the Qc7c9h flop with Ac3s v my AdQd. Tough crowd lately.(party)

An my rake graph is still not showing up in Poker Rooms, something wrong there needs fixing.

Anyway, morning session was up to 7e+ twice but the dealer decided to take the rest of the shift off and it ended around 1e down.

Was looking at my stats for the first 25K or so on Betfair, just o check things aren't getting too out of sync and found this was making silly money at nl4:

Attached Image

Not long started to do the above so small sample as yet, but just the same, damned cool stuff. Learned very quickly not to barrel off on bluffs, I got owned unsurprisingly. I can bet out any two for a one and done, but some sort of minor equity like a gutshot or backdoor draw for barrelling is better obviously.

That hammering for 11BI a week or so ago still hurts and is still getting recouped bit by bit, blind by blind, but getting there slowly. Winrate is back to -0.30bb/100 so basically break even again. Emo

So, have a great holidays and don't be limping or else! Punch

So my stats so far are, after dumping FF:

Preflop:

Attached Image

I tightened up preflop a fair bit, I was around 26/24/8 but getting folds preflop would seem to be a skill I lack in these games for now. I do need to find a way of increasing my 3bet from the button but the regs are so nitty from early pos and the fish call 'for reasons' so it's not easy

Postflop:

Attached Image

My worst two here seem to be w$wsf, which of course is a corollary to cbet% being so low. Problem is of course, I'm not often cbetting HU because 3+ handed is very common and I'll get floated by air quite often and ther're lots of shorties to contend with. Not a problem except I often have air to! Giggle

Sorting out my cbetting will boost the old winrate a bunch obviously. Chances are my w$sd is a bit high because of tightening up preflop.

I still bluff a fair bit but I don't use my preflop ranges chart nearly as much as I was. I think some is ingrained but I take situations as they arise most times.

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated. I don't think apart from the cbetting it's all gone tits up or anything but what do I know! Cheeky

... however, no matter the skill level of opponents, sometimes it's hard to know where to start, but easy to know when to finish!

Gosh this is going well ... back to nl4 for moi.

I wonder if I'll go broke before it turns around? Not far to go now and I was going to get some coaching to; it'll have to wait a while now.

Roll on another few AK hands that miss oop 3/4 handed I say! Emo

Ok, so today it turned around and I ran good at nl4. And? Emo Nl10 by end of Jan.

Must be Santa.

Got three coachings coming up in the next few days with the mighty Scrubx, payment courtesy of mrs mal, so I had another dib at nl5 speed as a warmup since that is his forte. Haven't sat in for a while now and of course was the payoff wizard for a bit, but games are lolsoft so even I can do ok.

Can't wait for the lessons, looks like db analysis first, but db isn't a huge sample, then sweat speed and see how it goes from there.

Happy New Crushing peeps! Hug

Cashing VPPs: 35
Clear FDB: 30
Winnings over the weekend/today: 55

2018 Start: Attached Image

Means I can take a shot at nl10 now. Not sure if it'll be FF or standard, I'll probably go with the coach's preference for FF nl5 and see how that goes.

A few issues, the 'Missions' tab has an exclamation mark over it so when I try to see what's in there it closes the client, no matter which route I try to get there. Fuck missions, never liked the guy anyway.

There's also HM2 telling me no valid licence found so it closes the hud, I wonder if FF doesn't allow a hud? Or maybe it's the standard tabs, oh I don't know, I'll need to see if I can look into it I suppose. So no hud lately either, sigh. Fuck hud, never liked the guy anyway.

Tried finding out what VIP 13 meant to. Apparently that's my vip level (guessed that all by my lonesome! Muscle ) but levels seem to be like silver or gold and stuff, so maybe I'm just special, aw diddums, we like special. Hug
I do seem to pick up VPPs at a bit of a clip at nl5 FF which will be nice at this higher level, assuming I crush them like insects of course! Punch I'll try to let them accumulate if I can, 3750 gets me 10euro but I have to cash out before 6 months are up or lose them I think. Fuck that, never liked losing VPPs anyway.

So, coaching it is then and move to nl20 by the summer if all goes a smoothly as it always does - and we know it always goes smoothly now don't we kids! Giggle

Gl and have fun.
