My poker day started off really well. As you will see in the graph, the first 1K hands I was just up over 4 BIs before losing QQ to AA, then it all went down hill for the next 140 hands. Still made some profit so I can't complain too much. It seems every session I play, I have a load of hands tagged for review which caused me a lot of headache in-game. I'll try and get them all in the line check section.

I went out 19th in the StanJames OPL tourney after a stupid shove with 16bb with K5s from UTG. I had got bored. I think its safe to say tournaments aren't for me. But I will continute to play in the OPL as its fun with good prizes and small fields!

I was the chip leader in the Full Tilt poker OPL tourney, with 14 left, before I completely butchered a hand for nearly my whole stack...ICM springs to mind.

I had KQ on a Q8210 turn, I jammed and he called with J9 for the nut straight. the king hit the river which didn't help

He was second or third in chips so it completely crippled me.

I than Jammed QTo and ran in to AK and KK, but I was running really well before that! Ah well, I really need to read up on my tourney play....or maybe I should be fixing the leaks in my cash games first!!

I'll need to sweet talk the misses as she made tonight a "no poker night". She doesn't seem to care that I'm way behind paice, or that it's a $500 added tourney!

Very swingy day today!! And I tilted for the first time in a long time! I got 3bet for the millionth time and jammed the flop with my AQo when i missed lol Not spazzed like that in a while! I was paying people off because they're play doesn't make sense...it was always the nuts. I got slow played so many times and fell right in to the trap!

I'm going to take a break as I'm playing very weird.

That first hand is well played by the guy with KK, not many people will check the river, although I'm nor sure about flat calling pre. At the same time, if somebody called me twice on a paired board and then check-raised, no way I'm calling it without at least a set. You're only catching a AdQd bluff, or beating AK that didn't 4b preflop.

The second one is a cooler against somone who's calling 7bb while set mining with 104bb. I'm no expert, but I don't think he can call that 3b unless deeper or multiway.

Damn those $25 All-ins and $3 cbets make 25NL look like such a nosebleed money for me. My brain can't process how one can go all in in a single hand with a third of my entire bankroll.

When you watch high stakes poker, or even $1/$2 games, I can't even imagine having that much money on the tables, I just know it's a lot yet can't relate to it, but in 25nl I realise how much bigger this is compared to my bets and it just feels so sick haha

The first hand should be an easy fold OTR, I could even have checked back the river and not much worse is calling. maybe a KJs, KTs type hand that floated the flop. I have these days and it kicks me back in to action, as it reminds me how much I can lose by these calls.

When I moved up to 25NL from 10NL the bets even seemed big then lol It took some getting used to! I was playing scared money to start with, but I've adjusted now.

This is a depressing site when you see this on each table, after a days grind.

Really hard to put villain on KK as played but even if he's somehow got there with an ace he's counterfeiting your 2 pair so I guess yeah we have to fold there.

Second hand his min raise on the turn has alarm bells screeching in my head. I'm not sure I fold turn or river but the raise is woooaaaah. Which you obviously know.

I just managed to lose over 300BB in 1 hand through me over evaluating my hand and being slow played again. I thought I'd try make my hand look like a bluff, but I'm the one who gets caught

I was sitting with over 400bb at one point, before losing it all. I thought the come-back was on. I was on my way back up from a big downswing, only to go straight back to where I was in 1 day!! When I run bad, I play worse. It's interesting to see my red line is dipping again, and the green line always follows!!! I only have a few days left before going back to work. Not sure if I'll try grind out this hole again in time. Worth a try tho

Its an unfortunate hand as it happens but as for set mining here thats mentioned its fine for him to be set mining here. Although he's only getting around 2-1 initially - the implied odds dependent on the opponent(Barrabod this time) makes it fine.Both have over 100BB.If Barrabods range or image suggests tight then its fine as we are getting full stacks if we hit.Obviously if Barrabods image is loose then the implied odds aren't worth set mining for as his range. Generally its we need around minimum of 10-1 against someone that will stack off with overpairs. So its alot on player image as to wether to set mine.So to say he cant call here - he definitely can.

The KK (your KQ) hand is a massive spew on your side. River is a check back - nothing worse can call you, and literary nothing will bluff at you, and your hand is not strong on the river. You spewed almost 100 bb on that river. Idk your win rate, but if you beat game for 5bb/100, you basically spewed 2000 hands of solid A game.. Hands like these can hurt your win rate soo much!

55 hand is w/e, just raise/ GII on the flop with middle set.

Yesterday was a very spewy day. I'm going to watch some videos today and watch the dicipline in the pros game! I went back to thinking I was being out-played, when really, they had it every time. Back to the drawing board!

I've suffered that one too often, especially when I get 3bet to death by regs, it seems like every time I raise they reriase. If one isn't at it another one is! I just feel I'm getting owned sometimes but the time I get to the river it's patently not true and I just got out hit or they had better anyway.

For staying calm under fire may I suggest This from JonVIP and This from KomodoDragonJesus. I found them very good for getting me in a 'Keep Calm and Just Do It' kinda mood before playing.

Watching the Sky one right now and Jon said "One thing you have to deal with is the frustration factor" Which I think got the best of me yesterday. They do weird shit and get paid for it. Also when they check it down to then over jam the river on a blank dry board. Curiosity always kills the cat for me here!! Need to get that discipline back in my game!
