Lost a monster pot near the end but still a good session.

All in on the flop for a 780bb pot. Would have been nice to win.

You can't win them all! Glad to see you're making good use of that spare 100 bucks.

So true. I'm actually down a couple of bucks playing 2NL. Finding it really hard to get value. The fact that you can't buy in for more than 50bb makes bet sizing difficult for me. And I just don't seem to be able to win enough at showdown. Either villain has me beat or their stack is so small it makes little difference. Throw in some bad beats and the high rake and it almost seems unbeatable. I know that's not true, just how it feels when things aren't going well. Red line is consistently break even. I'm going to do some database analysis tomorrow to see where I'm going wrong.

Probably mostly just random ranges, multiway pots and people floating with anything they played preflop with which makes it harder to put them on anything reasonable. I've had exactly the same trouble with this game, not that I'm playing much; I am winning, it just doesn't feel like it sometimes! Wink

Really enjoyed reading through this blog.

Now your back playing NL2 for a short while, you say your finding it really hard to win at, but yet you seemed to be crushing at NL10 on sky poker, do you think NL10 is more beatable because people seem to play more appropriately or something similar where they have a basic understanding and you can work out their ranges and the like, whereas an NL2 people play any two cards from any position and it becomes more of a guessing game and pure luck?

Yeh I'm used to making lots of notes so I know what players are limp-calling, or calling 3bets with, but on 888 Snap it's more difficult to do that. I've started 4x opening UTG as I'm getting a lot of calls from CO and BTN. Also 2.5xing the button which seems to get more folds than min raising.

Thanks. Yeh I guess so, which is why the mental game is so important. It's very easy to start spewing when you can't beat terrible players, which I'm certainly doing my fair share of.

Jon-PokerVIP: Stick to Sky :)

I'll be back there in a week or so. Feels kind of wierd though going back to 10NL when I'm breaking even at 2NL.

I think you gotta look at money and not stakes sometimes.

Poker is now just like anything else. It is all about as much as you can make, as quick as you can and for as long as you can.

If you can beat a £10 sit down game then playing a $2 one will just make you miss out on so much,

Any updates? How's 888 treating you lately?

I haven't been playing much the last week or so. Played a few tournaments the other night but busted them all pretty quick. In a few days I should have my 10NL bankroll back so I'll be back on Sky trying to run it up. See if I can make 20NL by Xmas!

Got my bankroll back! £400 in my Sky account for 10NL. £400 in Skrill ready for OPL S3. And $90 left on 888 which I'm going to play $1 tournaments with.

To improve one's game cheaply? Sounds GTO to me.

Back on the 10NL cash tables, made a couple of buy ins.

And over 4 hours in a tournament to place 58th out of 1188 for $4. Jammed KK for 15bb, called by AQ and the turn was an ace.

NL10 on sky? Hope you're gonna crush it sir and get to NL20 (maybe NL50?) before the end of the year.
