It's been a while since i've posted. Mostly because of a downswing and wanting to play Zoom while i'm really bad at it. It seems such a NIT fest in general, and i am a player who does not believe villains range. Had to work on that also. 12 tables reg NL5 seems a bit boring, but it keeps me from having those awful sick swings. I've also been working on my opening ranges from EP, MP, CO and the blinds, and it seems to work!
The goal still stands to make about $1000 this year. I know it's a small goal, and hopefully it will be much more, but lets start small here. At the moment i'm still playing on Pokerstars because of the traffic. Most of the time i play early so i can start schoolwork at around 2PM . I can't really play in the evenings because my girlfriend also needs attention
Within a few days i will be leaving for Kopenhagen for my birthday, so that'll be fun i hope. Besides that, everything seems to be going fine. I would like to keep this blog updated and maybe create a website where i'll be blogging about the adventures of the micro stakes. But that's something for in the far future. On another note: I'm planning to go to Brazil this summer to meet my family for the first time ever. I'm adopted and was raised here in The Netherlands. About a year ago my sister (also adopted, but from another family) went to Brazil to look for my family while interning at a company there. On my birthday she told me that she had found my two sisters and my mother, so that was pretty awesome.
I've been Skyping with them ever since, but i think it's time to meet them. It was always an internal struggle with myself, mainly because i never felt home here. I was good at making connections / friendships with people, but there was a small empty space in me that wanted to go back to where i came from. Maybe when things go my way i will try to learn Portugese and stay in Sao Paulo (or a city nearby, because the traffic is hell there) for a while. I've always like Brazilian people. They are outgoing, easy to talk to, a bit crazy and really relaxed. In The Netherlands everything is fast paced and aimed at making a career. If you don't have some good job or a degree people will look at you in awe.
So that's it for now. Maybe i'll be posting an update later today!
Cheers!
