Thanks Sir,, I have always had positive lines so I guess its just natural. Ive also been lucky as I have never run -EV....until now, just cant catch a break at the moment, so just need to keep ploughing on and hope things turn around because its starting to do my head in!! Any advice would be GREAT!
Another bad day at the office for me, nearly 3k hands played and down 3.5 bins, getting pretty mad about this, and feel like I am letting the team down. Yes Im playing a little bad to at the moment but as you can see from graph im running like so badly and it sytarting to get to me a bit, gonna cut down my tables today and just try to concentrate a bit more, rather than auto pilot.
Well the first month as a VIPer did not go quite as I had expected or hoped, its been full of swings and suckouts. A little bad played mixed with a lot of bad beats has created one of my worst ever graphs EV wise since I started tracking my progress. Never run as bad as this before but somehow managed to keep my head together (just) and turn a small profit for the month.
I didn't managed the 35k required but I didn't join the stable until a week in to November and then had Internet issues for the best part of a week which meant I had to play as and where I could. Over all I managed 22k this month so I am happy with this, I hope you are too Jon!! Volume will be tricky this month due to something they call Christmas and having to do the family thing, but anywhere I go my laptop is coming with me!!
I have discovered I have some screen capture program on my computer so I thought I would make a video for Jon to watch but it turned out to be a right horror movie and I don't think the play in it was representative of what I can do so, sorry mate I ditched it! That will be one of my goals for this month to make 1-2 videos, not just for the site but more to watch myself and see if I can spot anything before the big man does.

As we all know the festive season is upon us and that its going to be hard to grind super hard over the next few weeks so i am going to limit my goal setting this month to not drinking too much!! This will be my first full month as a VIper and all I want is a better run than I had last month. I want to try and play at the very least 1.2 k hands per session as I had quite a few low volume days last month and dont want to let the guys down.
Judging by the stables results for last month I personally will try to play my best as much as possible because I dont think its very fair that PokerVip have been generous enough to stake a number of players yet we still cant turn a profit between us all, this must change. Why should they keep staking us to play and put faith in us if we play like tossers and donk off their money?? I know everyone has bad days, I myself had more than a few last month, so I am going to change my stop loss limit to 3bi per day instead of the 5. I think this will improve my over all return and stop me trying to chase losses which we are all guilty of.
I am proud to be a VIPer and have the chance to learn from a great bunch of guys so I think we all need to as my mum would say, knuckle down and work hard, we have had faith shown in us now its time for us to return the favour.
Just a quick update tonight as its late. I did not update for yesterday so I will do a double whammy. Pretty up and down for both days, I have to admit that I have not played that great so only a very small profit so far this month hope to sort this out soon. I play 6 tables but I am thinking of dropping down to 4 to improve decision making, just a little worried I might get bored and start loosening up too much but we will see.
This month so far 3580 hands played at 4.16/100
Got proper owned by a fish to tonight who cracked my kings twice and hit every possible card he needed, but I have marked his name down and my time will come ha ha
First I broke one of my goals for the month which was to play 1.4k hands a day. I managed 1.2k but was so tired and was starting to play a little sloppy so called it quits. Again another up and down session just need to try and keep things going up instead of donking off chips when I am up and then having to rebuild it again. So going to have an early night and recharge my batteries for tomorrow.

Its great to have goals and hit them but stopping when tired or not playing your A game is even better. Shows you have alot of self control. Great to know that! lol. Whats the other goals for December? How are the holidays gonna effect your grind?

I am trying not to set too many goals for this month as being the festive season maybe hard to stick to them, so going to keep it simple for now. When I get the report for last month I will include anything needed to work on in my January goal list, as for now its just grind,grind,grind every opportunity I can.

Quick break for a smoke and a brew, was up about 2.5 bins at one point then 2 bad beats and I was down to 1, hence break. Plan on being up most of the night playing so gonna make a flask for it, cant beat a flask, hot coffee on tap!!
Right sorry to let you and myself down, but I have run out of coffee and I am not happy as Im starting to feel a bit tired, smoking while playing probably does not help either if you catch my meaning lol. So I am going to call it a night there got my 1.4k min so happy about that would like to keep playing but not risking it now.
Overall was happy with the way I played today, dont get me wrong this fish got lucky a few times and sucked out a few times on the river, which is nice to happen in my favour for once. I reckon if Lady Luck had been proper smiling tho I wouldnt have had so many coolers, Kings into Aces 2 maybe 3 times i think but thats just poker. Right so I played 1.4k hands and finished up, pennies short of 4bins so in the words of the great Phil Robertson I am "Happy, happy, happy!"
