Was going to post hand here but weaktight is playing the 'Let's show all the names' game again and I can't be arsed to edit it all.

Got sent $10 for the 55K rake race today which is awesome and means I did ladder up, which is also awesome. Just waiting for the March rakeback to arrive now and I'll be a happy bunny. Apparently it takes about 2 weeks so won't be long now. I'll just keep winning and it'll make my br look so pretty when it arrives.

First session was mental fish stuff today, the 2nd session was tough, very agro lot. May play a bit later on, not sure yet, my attempts at making popups isn't going particularly smoothly!

Ok, so I'm an addict and played again ... and!? ~It's hard not to when you're running like liquid gold.

Day 6: From ran bad but played well, to ran bad and played like a potato head, to ran well and played ok-ish. Session saved.

So many chances today and STILL no straight bloody flush for $25.

another win wrapped up, only one real chance of the illusive straight flush for the mission $25 and no joy again. Sigh, don't ya just hate missing 1-outers!?.

Played kinda odd today so sat out, not disasterously bad, just a lot of 'Oooo I gotz back door this and backdoor that and ... and all that fun stuff, so a bit meh for the game I was in and not needed.

I've had to push the pause button on my rise to meteoric fame, fortune and balla lifestyle, because the Fastforward games on Party are currently unavailable for whatever reason (they froze up last night and were shut down) and I really really like fastforward! Oh well, I'll put in a study day instead and see if I can find any more holes in the regs' games, shouldn't be too hard eh!? Or perhaps I'll watch a vid or three instead, we'll see.

Disaster day today. Found out no flat rakeback on Party, just some stupid impossible for a microstakes player vip thingy; thanks Party ffs. The 55K rakerace is a bit 'Ye right' as well but I can get a little if I play like 40 gazillion hands a month.

Looks like I'll be relying on my skill versus a bunch of droolers at fastforward instead then ...

Party has I believe the worst Rakeback system, not thought about moving your roll to another site?

@Harvie , yes I have thought about moving but the games are about as soft as they can get on Party nl5 Fastforward - and I've played on Blaze on MPN!

It gets difficult to find a nice site where I can use a HUD, play fastfold games with a soft pool and some nice rakeback to boost those 'yeauch' months whne I've been to so many sites. Am I too greedy!? Probably in this era.(chuckle)
Lots of sites are also a bit of a waste of space imo. MPN for example are stopping supplying hand histories unless you contribute to the pot, so PT$ have stopped support for them and the software on 888 is just a bit glitchy for me.

I wont play on Stars as my old CFP coach is there and we definitely don't get along (boring story, nothing exciting), no ad hominem attacks from my end though, just a few disagreements is all and I wish them well.

Perhaps you're right though and I'll pull what little I have on Party off there and take a chill pill and a look around.

Not playing a lot today, I'll watch a vid or two and do a bit of math instead then maybe sit in later.

How do you even get rakeback on party at 5nl. When I was there you had to sell the Loyalty Points for cash. You can only sell for cash when you are at gold level which is doing 750+ LPs per month, which is equivalent of raking $375. Need to play a lot of hands at 5nl to pay that much in rake.

I agree it sucks now on MPN with the hand histories, but they have a 3bb rake cap, which makes a huge difference in bigger pots, on how much you pay in rake overall, plus they give the 30% back and if you are in a deposit bonus you get another 20% back. Thats a pretty nice deal.

Pretty sure 888 is worse for rake and rakeback, but heard games are super soft as well. Who knows whats going on with Stars anyhow. Games seem a lot softer then when I played on there, from what I have seen on twitch and videos, but I think they just announced another change to VIP system and don't think they really said what it is.

Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of sites go the way of MPN. Ultimately the sites market to recreational players mostly, cuz those are the customers who keep depositing. Then the sites see the rec player lose all their money to the regs and they think that it is a bad business model to let that happen. They try to think of ways to mitigate that and have the regs win less. They think it has something to do with the HUDs and tracking software, etc, but they don't realize that rec players, over time, are just always going to lose their money to the regulars and better players, its just how poker works. So their thinking is probably flawed but a lot more sites are going that way.

Had the same problem playing on PKR you did the other day. looks like all NLHE tables got screwed up and went down for a couple of hours.

I hadn't heard about the HH thing - where did you hear they wouldn't be supplying HH's unless you contribute to the pot? playing on PKR I can't see anything on it.

@Discomfort I read in the notes as I went to install the update for PT4 that they had stopped support for MPN because of it.

@fawltyfelix that does seem to be the way of it these days, hopefully I can adapt, evolve and conquer just the same! And yes that's how the Party thing works, I just didn't know until the awesomely helpful CrazyKeri pointed out the obvious. And yes, scoring 750 points at nl5 is beast mode even on FF.

The softness of player pools is naturally aided by the changes to huds/trackers/rakeback etc., which would seem expected, it's the way the sites want it to go. If I had the br I'd go the plo route even given the expected rake hike and variance, I rarely tilt anyway fortunately.

Played a little today but got fed up because every time I tried to start the hud PT4 froze up and had to shut it down.

I think i had to play 40K or 50K hands a month of fast fold at 10nl to hit the 375 mark and cash my points in. I saved them all up and made it one month so I could cash them in.

I played a little bit of 5nl in your backyard on party tonight. I didn't realize I still had like 20 bucks on there. It is pretty soft. I was up a buy in or more, but got sucked out on one hand so think I was a bout break even, but can see why you are crushing it. I don't remember 10nl being like that at all. Some of the regs on there were pretty good IIRC. Although that was 6 months ago and I have learned a lot in those 6 months, so maybe I would think differently about it now.

@Discomfort I heard about the rake changes through my coaching group and it is definitely the case. They don't do any HH now for Anon. Basically like live. If you bet and they call and you win, the cards get mucked and there is no link to review the hand. On reg tables it is true too since I was playing 65/59 today vpip/pfr, which would be absurd, but it comes out like that because it is only tracking the hands I have put money in. That being said you would think that my vpip would then just be 100, so maybe it tracks hands that you post blinds in as well. I am not 100% sure about that. HM2 says I played 4 tables for 197 min today and only managed 305 hands

Looks like this might be good news for me - I still get all my HH on PKR so hopefully they're exempt!

Found out what was wrongwith PT4, my hud had dissappeared intot he twilight zone and it's just not there anymore. I had some cryptic advice from support but it didn't do anything so left it at that for now. Got HM2 going a bit instead but it eats my power. It has notecaddy and definitions/badges and stuff and I prefer it's user friendliness to PT4.

I may have to give up the poker for a bit, we need a new carpet and the mrs' pay can't cope with that large a cost, which of course means withdrawing the br. We'll see how it goes until the end of the month at least.

Got to pick up the soap in the showers again this morning I as a 'Welcome back to HM2'. Just didn't seem to matter what I had, so sat out. Getting l/rr by KK when I have aces is my dream until ...
Maybe I'll drop in for a hand or two later, maybe.

You need to stop withdrawing your roll and move up, simple as. I used to do the same as you and withdraw each time I made a nice profit then blamed it on life expenses. The truth was in hindsight I was scared to take the shot and feared losing the money I just made at higher stakes, so withdrew it and blame it 'on life stuff'.

Time to man up and move up where you can make more money, and tell the mrs you don't need a carpet! .

Cashed in my points and played 4 MTTs but not a lot of joy, although I got $17 from a bounty knockout i onlyhad one bounty, seemed like I was up against a bigger stack allt he time but finished itm so it's all good.

br up to $58 but lost this morning so at $49 for now.

Are the tournaments any good on there? I know they really F'd things up with the schedule back in the day!

@Jon-PokerVIP soft like a babies bottom at the low levels. I'm not up on MTTs stuff but these guys are about as bad as you'd expect - not as bad as Sky, that's proper bad, but bad anyway. I've only played up to $5.50 and a few DoNs which are insanely soft ( I cashed 10/10 micro ones for a mission).
I can't say what they'd be like up in the nosebleeds where you guys live obviously.

Got smashed for -5BI yesterday, folded top set Ks 3 times, set of 7s twice, got limp/rr all in by KK when I had AA twice and they hit both times. Oh joy I thought, I'm glad I came now, this is such fun!
