The intensiv road of a spewbox

Posted 8 years ago

Hey guys,

first of all, english is not my native language but I hope you all do understand me and my english is good enough to still find some readers. Wink

My Name is Charlie and I'm from Germany. I play poker for around 8 years and most of the time I spent at the fullring tables. My main game is nl100 fullring and because I don't want to play at Pokerstars, I play 2-3 sites to find enough tables. I am really lazy when it comes to poker theory and I hope this blog will help me to change that. I'll try to update frequently with interesting hands, graphs and what I do to work on my game.

One reason I stopped moving up in limits are my really serious tilt issues. It just need 2 or 3 bad beats and I'll end up in spewmode and start donating at the tables. I've tried a lot of things to fix that but nothing has really helped. NL100 fullring is a limit where the variance isn't that high compared to 6max which makes it easier for me to deal with tilt. But of course at some point I have to find a way to beat it. Sad

Ok, if there is anything you want to know just ask Smile I am happy to answer all your questions!
I started a new database last July and there are my results since then.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Smile

To be honest, I would really like that, but I don't think I would be a good "teacher" Smile As already mentioned, I am really lazy when it comes to off table work. Sometimes I even have a hard time to explain why a special line is best, at least from a theoretical standpoint. Lots of my decisions are just based on intuition and experience. Combined with a good table selection I have some pretty good results in these games. But for sure I am far away from beeing one of the best players at my limit/site and especially at tougher tables I can feel my lack of skill.

At the moment I am trying to figure out what would be the best way to improve/work my game. There is so much content availabe now which makes it hard to filter and not waste my time with the wrong stuff. I hope you know what I mean? Besides that, I am almost 37 years old and old people need a bit longer to learn new stuff Laugh

My first steps will be to create a new preflop game plan with PokerSnowies help. I know Snowies advises are not always the real deal, but after doing some research the preflop ranges seems to be really good.

Maybe you could make me a trial video and we go from there? With results like that you must be a beast so I would happily hire you for training videos on here!
