If you want to bluff I think you have to make it bigger. for 4.5bb you're never getting Jx to fold on the turn or river, but if you made it 80% turn and river then I see weaker Jx hands folding. For this size I don't think Jx will fold if they have it.


By their river fold I'm guessing they had QT/AJ or some kind of hand like that.

Flop is good, mabye you can start betting bigger because most regs are capped now, no KK JJ KJ AK AA but you only have 77 and KJ in your range, thats why betting 1/2 pot is also okay.

Turn: Pot bet or overbet now, you block T9 and you have it in your range, all your 87-semibluffs/deny-equity hands improve to twopair now and it is not very likely that he has a set now. Your sizing is to low and he can comfortably call his medicore hands.

River: I think you block to many foldhands and your sizing isn't great too easy for him to call AJ for that odds.

My line (GTO): bet Flop like you, overbet turn around 1.5x pot and sometimes (but not often) jam river because if I do that too often I get problems with my ratio but QT is okay for that.

My line (NL10): bet Flop near pot (Villain is more often capped on NL10 than on higher limits) planning to overbet the turn and check back the river because after two big barrels I don't expect a NL10-player to fold a madehand.

Excellent replies from the guys above, I just want to add that our river bet does not target any hands other than JX (for which we made it too small) or the hands that we block so I would probably give up on that river.
