Important to know after villain donk bet the flop he had approx $12 left behind.

I think the only 2 options on the flop are shoving over the donk bet or folding. With the Q of diamonds I think it's a pretty standard shove. However in this spot I decided to fold as i'm crushed by sets, 2 pairs, and straights. And hands like AdKx, KdQx, AdTx, I'm not doing well against. The only hands I'm very much ahead of are Jx without a diamond and I'm not even sure he plays them like this.

I like the fold, our equity is not that great and we might already be drawing (almost) dead. I expect to see very few bluffs for a pot size bet, not doing that great against any pair+ fd either.

I completely agree with your assessment of this spot. I feel like this is a shove or fold spot and even with Q in your hand shove would still be marginal or even bad vs. some players. Solid fold, well played.

I agree with folding but with villain being a shortstack I would certainly be thinking hard about this. It's a common pattern across the micros for fish to donk out on paired or monotone boards. I think the number of bluffs plus random leads with top pair type stuff but no diamond make it a lot closer than we might expect.
