Villain is a total unknown. Pre seems pretty self-explanatory; I'm not flatting this hand against unknowns.

Flop: Going for value from from AQ and JJ primarily, maybe some worse Q that he has somehow. Is he ever floating this flop with an AK/AJ type of hand?

Turn: This bet is a mistake I think. Was going for more value from AQ, problem being that we now likely fold out JJ. His range at this point is usually AQ, slowplayed sets and AA. Should we be checking the turn given that's his calling range? And if we check/call what do we plan to do on the river?

River: Same as turn basically. We're actually slightly behind equity-wise if the only hand he calls with that's worse is AQ. Check/folding seems bizarre, but I just can't imagine we're ahead very often when we check and he shoves.

In-game I'd take the same line as you I think, but on reflection I do agree with the range you give them. I think I'd be betting the turn because AQ calls and maybe AJ/AK/KJ if they are bad (yes we block a few combos). At these limits I'm kind of expecting to get raised by 2pairs or sets on the turn, I do like their line by calling the turn instead of raisisng.

I really think it's hard to check the turn in-game, I'd most likely be betting here vs. an unknown as they may even be a fish.

very standard line and just UL that you loose this time. You will be called by worse more often then you will be called by better.

His turn calling range is much wider than you think, AQ KQ QJ AT JT JJ all can call. When you 3bet bb vs UTG you are having more AK combos than KK AA so he can for sure call all those.

so no one is x-ing flop here vs utg? we are anyways not going to get 3 streets of value vs jj

We're blocking some top pair type hands but on the whole, I think this board hits villain's range somewhat often and he should have a bunch o medium strength hands. I can see check/raising being a good plan vs. some villains, but I like betting by default especially in the NL5 setting.

Don't mind it - maybe betting more on the turn. You'll get called down by AQ, KQ (less likely), QJ enough of the time. It's 5nl - you probably see JJ & 99 call down here as well.
