Sky £20nl JJ in squeezed pot

Posted 7 years ago

Due to Sky, I'm going to have to type this by hand, I hope it's easy to follow.

I'm in the BB with JJ,

UTG (rec player £16.00) opens to £0.60
HJ Fold
CO (rec player £7.00) calls
BTN (rec player £32.00) calls
SB Fold
I squeeze to £3.30

UTG Fold
CO Fold
BTN Calls

Flop 425r

I bet £5.20
BTN Calls

Turn Q

The pot is now at £18.60, we have £11.30 and are covered.

Do we jam here for value? Do we bet super small to get crying calls from middle pairs? Do we check and hope to induce? Are we ever just check/folding?

No real reads on villain. He's playing this table and a £30nl table. He doesn't seem super fishy but he's definitely not a reg and I doubt he's a winning player.

Can't really see myself getting away from this hand, just need to find what the best way is to get all the chips in. I think a small bet of £4 and then to jam the river to get called by PP, 5x and perhaps some odd gutshots. Think if we jam the range we want to target will fold.

Yeah i would jam for value. Cant really balance a size here since you cant ever bet/fold at this stackdepth with your bluffs.

I don't chk to induce here, that's just a no-no for me versus a player I have little info on, particularly on that board type and I don't know if villain is aggressive enough to fire that bullet or not. Basically, I'll get too many chks behind.

Also, given the preflop/flop action I can't see the Q changing anything for me on that board. My worse case scenario is all sets, 66-TT, some Ax/Kx small with say a pair and straight outs, 54s-67s, (I think most would iso with JJ+/AK ... but there's always one ... Smile )

I'm all in on the turn, don't want to bet small and see a nasty river card and if this was a track race our villain would be so far behind he'd think he was in front.
Check/folding? Not me, too sticky, I bet till they tell me I'm beat if I don't know them. Blush
