NL10 KK vs river shove

Posted 8 years ago

Do you call the River? Of course we are often beat here. But I need 23% for the call - so I think its still a profitable call?
Villain is unknown.

His range could be something like this QQ,TT-88,JTs,AsQs,AsJs,QsJs,QsTs

I wouldn't no ,in my experience of this line call flop call turn and then shove into you on the river its just the nutts or what he thinks is the nutts so very strong hands. Besides every draw possible got there all flush draws all the strait draws now came in he has all the sets , maybe he even played AA funky. I just don't think you beat anything on that river vs his line.

I rarely see this even being a bluff and we should just check fold. I don't expect to see many bluffs nor hands being turned into bluffs in this spot. So everything villain has which we beat will want to go to showdown and only hands villain has which beat us will jam.

Just wanted to add something on your range you assigned , QQ i doubt ever plays this way he might not be able to fold it, and if he cant he will sigh check call the river . Hes not going to turn QQ into a bluff i wouldn't think . For the same reason he is not turning TJ,QT into a bluff that just made TP hes going to check and hope he made the best hand and get to showdown.

At these stakes we shouldn't be looking bluff catch too often. It's so easy to get drawn into thinking that sets and straight will ALWAYS raise this flop texture.

As for his range, in a 3 bet pot he can be assuming a flush is the nuts here, or even 76s slowplayed and now he's hoping you call it off with an overpair.

As Stratoman says, most of what you're hoping he has, if you call this off, are hands which are just trying to get to showdown. Easy fold.

I think calling this hand at any stake is a mistake and at 10nl multiply that massively!

We have nut flushes in our range maybe boats depending on how you construct your range here. I personally wouldn't be otf here. I want to check back my ahigh as they block nothing and it just ingenraly isn't great for us and villain will probably hit this harder = x/raise = tough spot with weaker portion of range = checking weaker portion range =checking this without Ks to protect checking range Smile

Cbet flop isn't -EV IFC but I think our range will benefit some checks hers Smile

On this wet flop you're only looking for two streets of value. He called a 3bet OOP so he's probably pretty bad. Still, You can't go for stacks here.

I think its a pretty easy fold on the river, what hand do you win that makes this all in on the river?

What do you think his range is for doing this , do you think he has bluffs ?.

The point is the line he takes. call/call/bet its always the nuts with my experience when all the draws complete the river, he can also do this with 88 and 99 hoping you have completed the draw.

It's close but for me he has 88-TT all the time in this spot Smile

Yep I'll follow the trend and say that call, call, bet sucks for my overpair. Not as easy a fold in game as it looks now but everything hits so a fold nonetheless unfortunately for me.
