KQ vs. min 3B pre

Posted 8 years ago

So typically the Bovada players min 3Bet with nutted hands (AA, KK, sometimes AK). When you see these min 3Bets, they're giving you a great price to draw out on them and stack them and they turn their hands face up. However, here's a hand that I feel I really screwed up. Puke During the hand, I remember not wanting to get stuck calling down with TP here and calling off portions of my stack knowing he min-3Bet me pre. Looking back I believe I should've at least called on the flop and evaluated the turn instead, especially with the BDFD. If we are calling the flop here, can we call at most 2 streets here, folding to a 3x?

Not folding pre flop, not folding the flop either for that 7bb bet. Perhaps fold on the turn if they lead again but with TP+ backdoor, I'm happy to call here again with our hand in position and see a turn.

Flop has to be a call. If you folding KQ @ this spot, you might as well take it out of your 3 bet/calling range.

Firstly hand is strong enough to 3bet PF, especially against weaker opponents.

Folding the flop is sorta insane unless we have a really strong read that he only min 3bets AA. And most guys usually have a selection of weaker hands in their min 3betting range also. Even if he has Aces we are still drawing live. Probably call both flop and turn (although look at the sizings etc).
