5NL - AA (vs. 4Bet pre)

Posted 8 years ago

Anon. Players at this stake really don't play the 4Bet or fold game. When they 4Bet, it's typically done with premium hands because they've got such a tight 4Bet %. So facing the 4Bet pre, is our best option just to jam pre?

Given what you've said about 4 bet ranges, this looks like a standard all in.

I'd be shoving here regardless, I don't want them to fold the flop with AK on 7xx or to slowdown with QQ on Kxx.

100%, if their ranges are so weighted for value with 4bets what you waiting for just shipit.

I might go for something like 2.1$ and the plan to go broke on every flop if I played against a bad aggressive player to give him illusion of fold equity and a bit of space to spazz out, but yeah once you're in this spot with the best possible hand sizing doesn't really matter that much.

Against most player types in most situations I jam this all day every day. Given your description of the average villain in this game it seems like a great spot to shove. Tight ranges mean you get called more, not wanting to 4bet/fold means you get called more and getting called more means more dollars Smile

The type of player I would just call this would be the hyper aggro ones who will spew off their stack given the opportunity. At anonymous tables there's no way of identifying these players so I'd stick to the shove gameplan.
