Hmmm, I think in this spot, there's a lot of combo draw hands that may wanna jam a lot outside of the made hands. So I think you can check back and call any brick card if he doesn't bet too high of course.

A protection bet needs to be a higher sizing as you're still giving a good price for the many strong draws.

Do you have any previous info on this guy? Is he bluff heavy? If so then maybe the check back is best as you can induce on brick river since you can never take a raise on the turn.

Note also that the guy also check raised into a multi-way pot on a wet board. It's not likely you'll see pure bluff here. The small raise size also seems value heavy.

At these stakes I would fold the flop when it gets raised multiway, even bad players are not bluffing anywhere near as much as they might heads up. It's also not insignifcant that there's a made straight possible on top of all the sets and two pair combos. If he has an Ax or Kx flush draw then you're not making anything there either.

No reads, anon. I think I should've checked back the turn and tried to get a cheap showdown. True they c/r with value at these stakes, but they still get out of line on the flop from time to time. When they c/r the turn and river, I'm almost definitely getting out of the way unless I'm holding very strong value hands.

Folding the flop is not an option, the raise is too small and we have position + TP.


Turn I would bet again, lots of draws out that aren't going to fold, checking let's them see it for free, once raised I'd just go ahead and muck it. Don't think we're going to see a draw that much when they shove on us.

Very random and I think we need to call as there are just so many draws out there and we don't block the top pair with flush draw and worst kicker.

Play is fine, we should not be checking the turn just because our opponent showed strength with a check-raise. His range is usually constructed in such a way that he is mainly check folding or has a slowplay which he plans to double-check-raise with a much lower frequency. So usually the best sizing will be slightly smaller than our current sizing so that we still get max protection but lose the least against slowplays.

Bet/folding turn is correct. Reasonable hand overall, just tweak the turn sizing.
