Hello!

UTG was folding to 3bet 80% so I decided to flat those kings in MP, turn is a 4 so it makes it unlikely for him to have set 4's, do you think I'm valueowining myself on the river and what about a turn bet size? 30 hands on the guy, seems regish. Looking at the hand now, since T9s is in his range it makes river easy check back? What if 8 would be a 6 or 7 and no straight possible?

P.S. I tried to use the hand converter but this is a hand from Microgaming Anonymous tables and it doesnt support it, is there another way to post a decent HH?

Thanks!!

Check this thread to post your hand history.

While I think we have the best hand on the river a lot, but shoving I don't see regs calling off with worse. I would be betting the river around 30bb to get a crying call from Qx, think by shoving only better hands call.

I still think you should 3bet pre. Sure UTG might have high fold/3bet but we're not just playing vs UTG, we're playing the table too. We want money in the middle and not to be multiway like this. Opponent has a lot of Jx in range too. And vs that I wouldn't want to shove as Harvie pointed out. 9T is the only big draw but reg might not be happy on paird board continuing too much, also we counterfeit 2 pairs of course and have the best hand often.

The main point is you only have 30 hands on the guy so stats don't mean a thing... and you definitely need to be 3betting KK always in my opinion regardless... if you feel like you need to balance this its preferable in my opinion to start 3 betting light instead of flatting those KK's

Once you have more hands and the stats come into play then if you are finding he is folding to 3bets a lot then want to be 3betting light with hands just out of your flatting range, preferably with an A as then you block AA, AK, AQ etc, lots of combos that he would be calling or 4betting you with. Then you're getting plenty of folds to see profit... and once he sees this he will be calling your 3bets more so you can get value from those KK's. You also need to look at his raise first in from UTG to assign him a range... you'll find that he will be folding a massive % of this range to your 3bets here as you look super strong so 3betting light here is perfect to mix in with those AA and KK hands rather than flatting IMO

Another stat you need to look at is 'fold to 3 bet after raising' as this takes out of the calculation all those times he cold folds to a 3 bet which will give you a more accurate reading for ranges (obviously not relevant here though as he is UTG)

I know this is all about pre flop but if you took this pre flop line you might not get in this marginal spot!

Yeah I agree that on NL10 and normal tables 3bet is way better just because so many players will join and then you're blind and this hand was a good school.

@Karmakaze I was playing a lot of ZOOM in the past and using similar strategy that worked very well, I was flatting all PPs and AK vs nits because when I 3bet they only continue with 3% of their opening range so I would rather 3bet AJo, KQo (blockers) etc as a bluff and flat the rest.

About the river spot I really like the 1/3 bet, could save some money there for sure!

Thanks everyone!
