Pre-flop Range
This guy has been seen calling 3b's from MP vs BB. He also probably doesn't get AK in pre-flop. We block AQ but he can even have AJ/T here.

Post-flop
He seems overly aggressive based upon his stats over 100 hands 38vp and 56wwsf.

I opted to fold turn because he might fire river fairly often and I'm then in a v.tough spot.

I think some of the relevant stats to look at are his f2cb and his bet vs missed CB. If we think he's just going to fire any time we don't cbet, but he has a reasonable f2cbet %, then there is a rationale for firing otf, just to not get caught in a spot like this. But f he's a floater then we obv have to c/c instead.

We def played it like a hand scared of the A, and if he's an ag-tard like you suspect, then his range should be pretty wide. I might call this one down if river bricks out.

I dont play this stakes, but i think u need some specific stats like @CycleVancouver said, i think bet v missed CB would be great for u, always when i 3bet a JJ+ check that stat for flop/turn/river, some people are just firing everytime is checked to them. Some made u to fold really easy because they have like a 20% bet v missed cb. And also agree that if he is that aggresive, u can just cbet if he has a high fold to cbet, or even u can use the other stat, to go and CC 3 streets.

That stat requires a lot of hands because it's not a spot that occurs very often

So am I the only one that thinks flatting pre might be the way to go given we're OOP versus utg and villain is perceived as very aggro, even if he does look a little bit looser? Just a thought but I play lower anyway and would either fold the flop or call down all the way, probably the former.
It just goes against the grain for me to call flop then fold on a blank turn is all.

You can watch villains and see them bet v missed cbet against others to get an idea, it doesn't have to be versus hero, or am I missing my bus again? Blush

Flatting pre vs utg is certainly an option. I'm overly agg so it's not my thing, but it's a reasonable line, esp vs TAGs who fold pre most of the time.

I think folding to one bet is a big leak. Plenty of hands V could have that don't want to build a pot, like AJs or even PP broadways, so you'll get to SD cheap enough. He should also fire vs missed cbet with A on board almost 100% of the time. If he's good, he's going to fire at least twice with his air as well as big TP. So while I'd c/c, c/c, c/decide (not every V can fire 3 bullets), I think at least the flop call is close to mandatory vs all but nits.

I will usually just flat PF pretty happily here. I guess if we are playing 3b only strategy then it ideally has to be a 3bet, so hard for 3betting to be objectively bad or anything.

Postflop looks like a reasonably standard x/c, x/f spot, so hand seems fine overall.

Btw, given that we should hopefully known that extracting value here OOP is on the thin side, doesn't seem as if there is a great reason to size the 3b at over 4x.
