20NL: Linecheck with QQ in 3bet pot

Posted 7 years ago

No relevant reads on villain. Would like to know how you play this hand OOP in a 3bet pot:
- 3Bet or flat pre?
- Cbet flop or check-call (if we cbet, get it in vs a raise?)
- Turn check/call seems standard
- River check/fold? Do we check/call all our Ace of spades and K of spades hands?

it is a 3bet pre

otf it is a x, everything that calls us otf is ahead of us or in very good shape vs us, we have sd value.

as played turn is a call, river is a fold

Both options are fine preflop, I'd mix it up depending on how they plan, if they have a low f3b then I'd 3bet, if it's high I'd just call, if we get 4bet I'm not loving life with QQ against UTG+1.

Post flop I agree with Nikola 100%.

Preflop can go either way honestly depending on how tight/call happy the villain is.

As for the post flop, I also agree that checking the flop puts you into a better position more often.

As played river is a fold.

bet, x/c, x/c. I m bluffing always in this spot, so you have to call with Q, other wise you are folding to much. he has more suited combos than of suited, and you block a lot of suited combos, AQ,KQ,10Q of spades, also he can't have AJ of spades, he only can have AK,AQ, AJ of, and AK spades in his value range.

I think checking flop too. I would hate to get raised and it keeps his range wide. Not expecting to many floats if we bet.

If we bet I would rather keep on betting. Like i said previous he wont have many floats here so I dont see the point in giving up the betting lead to let him bluff. We can still get called by all sets and 99 TT with 1 spade. By checking we just let him decide when to take the freecard with set or get to cheap SD with medium flush and then bet all his better hands. The better hands we will loose one bet vs no matter how we play so better to focus on how to play vs the hands we beat.

With the line we took now I think we can fold the river. Dont expect him to bet many weaker flushes OTT or sets (and turn them into bluff on river) and wont have many flop floats so we will have to muck.

Thanks guys, after betting the flop it alreadt felt like a mistake. I agree on a check on the flop and go from there. As the board ran out I like ch/c ch/c ch/f.
