Don't understand the EV value of this big raise. I will never call it, so why would he make it?
Or am i to tight here?

It's just a weaker reg holding JT and being scared that you may out draw them by turning a flush or full house. Quite common at the micros.

Yeah, but he now misses a ton of value.

Am I the only one who quite likes his raise size? If he has 10-J he needs to charge sets etc! If you have a set you are almost certainly calling and he is getting great value! Even if he only raises to $1 you still cannot call with your KQ! I actually think the problem is your bet! This is not a gtd spot to bet for value and if you do it should never ever be half pot! I am checking behind and betting safe turns when checked to!

Pre: I don't like your flat call here at all. If I am playing this hand I would be using it as a three bet bluff with awesome broadway blockers, folding vs a 4x MP open though seems best to me.

Flop: In a multiway pot here I would rather see a check back here and play turns accordingly. We do not have a hand that we are looking ot play a monster pot here and this is a pretty wet board. There are going to be a lot of bad runouts so I would be an advocate of keeping the pot as small as possible here.

I agree with Fergs about pre. KQo makes a great 3 bet bluff in position but given how 4x opens are usually value heavy I would just shy away and fold.

Flop is close multiway, and I would definitely check back 4 way, but 3 way I like the small less than half pot c bet to keep control of the hand in position. I'm not sure checking behind pot controls any better than c betting small and retaining the option of checking behind on the turn. We're still going to face the same spot on the river.

Once we see the raise it's an easy fold.
