NL10 ATo

No sample but stats are not looking good for BTN or SB so easy ISO. Should go bigger actually. 60c would probably be better.

Flop TP and bet obviously. Overcard comes and he snap donks half pot. I think I can call as FD's, air, KQ, 98 etc may well do this, plus PDDS.

River nothing changes so feel like have to call again? Or just assume passive player doesn't barrel anything but Jx or FH.

Asides from turning the jack, I don't really see too many hands we lose too. For that sizing I think calling is the right play and taking note. If I had more stats on him being a passive time, I'd fold the river, for a half size bet, think calling is going to be ev+ long-term in this spot.

Think pre is fine, 6x seems to big, 5x could be ok Smile
I'm in the Harvie camp here. Seems like an okay bluffcatch vs an unknown for some informaton on his postflop play, and we're certainly beating some stuff here Smile

4 or 5x is probably fine pre.

For value this looks like maybe JT or set.
Bluff could be Txh
QJ or KJ... who knows if they call the flop. As you said, PDDS could be relevant here.
Hearts do get there though.
In game I may well fold. His sizing doesn't look too bluffy (although whether he's thinking about sizing is another thing all together)
and we really have no info on whether he's bluffing often enough yet. But that's just me.
But for half pot it could maybe theoretically be a call.

In theory I guess this should be a call but from my experience playing against fish this is just going to be value all day long, I could find a fold here especially if I know he's passive.

Cool thanks guys. I think I need to start folding more. I'm making a lot a plays like this, that seem theoretically cool but just aren't vs droolers.

He had 74o FWIW.

While check/call, check/call, lead line from a weak player usually means "I got there!", with only a backdoor draws possible I'd most likely call given the sizing but I can see folding vs. particularly passive opponents.

Well played. Pre and flop could be a little bigger but that's not a big deal. I know we're not supposed to be results oriented but when villain shows up with 74o here that's a very strong argument for calling down. He donk bet the turn with 4th pair! If he was willing to do that then he was definitely willing to bet river unimproved and would likely be betting with stuff like 5x Tx Jx and random bluffs as well that you do very well against.

I'm never in love with calling second pair when facing a third bet. With no information I probably fold.

Btw this whole "theoretically correct stuff"... Like we have TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA AJ, KJs here. 48 combos better than AT and they will make up more than 33% of my range here so if he is bluffing it isn't good for him. We also beat the majority of his value hands here so it just really sucks for him. AT is a pure bluff catcher and we have to expect villain to be bluffing 33% of the time. From my experience, that is a lot when facing this kind of line.

I don't hate this call but I would probably say that folding is higher EV. I would say that we are trying to exploit villains thin value betting here and not worrying about his bluffs, espically as we have enough hands that call to make his bluffs -EV Smile

Jam and represent the nut flush which we have in our hand holding AH or even a full house as we hold a 10.
