Whats the best sizing to use with our range vs villains perceived range in this spot. Villain is capped at some very weak 9x at best but most likely 5x + 66-88 and lots of A high. We can have boats, 9x, strong 5x + 66-88 for value and some rivered Qx that had a flush draw, we obviously bricked all other flush draws and gutshots.

Should we have 1 or 2 sizes here? I like the idea of polarising here and I also think this could be a decent spot for an over bet.

Like you say you have a big range advantage as I don't think he has much 9x at all. For this reason is an overbet necessary? I think he is more likely to hero the rest of his range (A high, 5x-88) against an overbet than he is against a value looking 80% pot?

This is the thing, we want him to hero when we do have 9x/boats so do we want to split our range into 2 sizes here with an overbet at the V top of range and a 70-80% sizing with the mid PPs and rivered Qx?

This could be much simpler and we could use one sizing like you say Im just curious because over bets are definitely getting called lighter this year.

No it is a very interesting point. The problem I see is that as we are putting a lot of our value range into the 70-80% bet size our overbet range would be too bluff heavy..??

Think two sizes is good here. Think you can choose if you want to size pot or double pot with your big size. The big bet we can do with 88+ and small size with 2x+.

OK so I think we can choose 1/2 pot and double pot vs the guys that aint folding rivers but as standard 1/2 pot with 2x + and pot with 88+ seems reasonable.

I actually potted it, villain had 66.

I don't like your turn sizing.

You can't have 9x or full house because you make the size way to big after he shows weakness.

Against a river pot size or overbet I would call with A high.. especially since both flush draws missed.

If you want to represint 9x or better you should bet 1/2 turn and 75-80% river.

His hand is pretty faced up: a hand with showdown value.

With so many draws out there on the turn we need to be betting big/close to pot with our entire range.

Using this sizing we get to extract max value on the Turn with our strong 5x + and we also build a pot so that we can either get a bigger bet in for value on the river or apply more pressure with our bricked draws when we choose to continue bluffing.

I think a lot depends on what we know about villain.

Betting twice following a flop check behind is a standard line but doesn't work as well when the turn pairs the board. If you do go with this line then I think it's necessary to use polarising bet sizes as you suggested. I would be going with something around $11.50 on the river hoping for folds from pairs small than a 9
