Pre is standard for me. Flop bottom set with possible straight and he bets out multiway. I'm not going anywhere so decide to call as raising there telegraphs my hand and overpairs/ draws will barrel.

Turn changes nothing so call big barrel.

River completes a lot of draws that I can have so considered donking small as expect a lot of overpairs to check back but it ends up check check.

Anyone raising anywhere or donking river?

The problem you made here was not to raise the flop. Too many cards can kill your action and overpairs/draws and Tx isn't going anywhere. As it happened the 8 did kill your hand. A small donk fold for $2 would be nice to get called by hands that would otherwise be checking back.

I think raising the flop is the way to go especially given the limit and the fact that you don't have the position. As played, I wouldn't donk the river by default, but it's a fine play as long as we know that villain is a recreational player.

Multiway I'm leading out on the flop. It's a disaster if it gets checked around and an 8 or 9 comes putting a 4 straight out there killing your action.

If you choose to check then raising is pretty much mandatory for value for the same reason as above. You'll get much better value over two/three streets than if you check call and allow him to choose how much money goes into thepot.

Ok I'd probably make a raise on the flop considering the donk bet, but as play from the flop, I then check/raise the turn as a flush draw comes in, the problem is with slowplaying... lots of cards come that of course kill our hand strength sometimes, but they can also kill the action from other hands. Just one of the spots to get more value really.

Opponent seems to feel quite strong.
