NL5 76s CO vs BTN 3 bet

Posted 8 years ago

I standard open from CO, BTN 3 bet me 3x and I call? Mistake or not? BTN stats are not valueble ( small sample ) but from action seen I can tell he is a tight straight forward player.
I decided to call preflop to see his reaction postflop.
FLOP: He cbet IP and that bet sizing at NL5 at most of the time is bluff ( so I put him on Ax, Kx, broadways range ). Is it okey to x/r him to 1.70 and ih he shoves fold ?
TURN: When A come that compete him most of the range ( if I wasn't good on flop then A didn't change a thing ) and you can see how his bet sizing become bigger ( So I think 6 was good on flop ) My plan was to lead on turn but obviusly when scary card comes that would be a mistake I guess.

Fold pre
Why do you think that sizing is a bluff on the flop? His sizing is ok there. But if we call pre then call flop. Turn just an easy check/fold

76s is best called in position when someone 3bets you.

Flop call is marginal, we do have 2nd pair and a backdoor flush so I don't mind it too much, turn is turbo fold.

I perfer to call the flop with our pair and backdoor over raising. If we didn't hit our 6 then I like c-raising more.

Pre for me is just a fold as it's going to be tricky post flop and our opponent can rep a lot. As said, in position vs blind sure we could call. But now on flop we are oop with 2nd pair on board that can easily get worse for us and look better for opponent.

Tnx for reply Smile
@Kasa bad regs on NL5 have a problem with bet sizing, they don't mix it. They are playing like 12-16 tables and don't think about they hands and just make it as default. And from how he played he must had Ax there but never mind.
My next training is to find 3-5 regs which I see the most at tables and exploit them.
