OOP overpair gets two flop calls - Turn thoughts

Posted 7 years ago

MP 21/15 just 39 hands. No other useful information.

CO 21/15 147 hands No usable stats that are relevant to this spot.

When I lead into two players here on this dry board, I think my range is heavily weighted to overpairs, so when I get called in two spots, I'm not super happy.

If we bet, what size are we choosing? I'm presuming we're bet/folding? If called, are we just giving up on all rivers and hoping to show our hand down?

Party No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed)
Hero (UTG)($33.72)
CO ($28.02)
SB ($43.10)
MP ($25.02)
BB ($21.60)
Button ($41.73)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with Jc, Jh
Hero raises $0.75, MP calls $0.75, CO calls $0.75, 3 folds
Flop: ($2.60) 4s, 2c, 6h (3 players)
Hero bets $1.85, MP calls $1.85, CO calls $1.85
Turn: ($8.15) 9s (3 players)
Hero ?

I'd still go for another bet then fold to raise. I'm basically thinking about what they can call with. They can definitely have worse overpairs. Even maybe 55.
It's even possible to see A5s from CO but depends on him.

I'd just make it 5 or so on turn to get value from worse PPs (I'm not sure they love to call much more than that and if we get raised then our bet isn't too large to worry about folding so it could be the sweet spot) and check river if called. If we get raised then fold as multiway vs your UTG raise and strength repping isn't going to bring out bluffs.

To be honest, maybe the best river cards for us is something like a Q or K as I can't see much involving them making it to the river and other PPs won't be improved to sets or straights, but even so we won't be getting calls from those that much so I think checking would be best still.

The only ever spot I feel is slightly bad, is if MP had QQ and called pre and called down. But I still think this line is fine vs that and we can fold river if facing a bet.
