I don't think you could bet smaller just from the implied odds needed for the turn call.

I'm very interested what others have to say about spots like this. I think I would lead against a passive player and c-raise against a more spewy/aggro player.

Hard to not play this hand face up. Checking river gets checked back a lot, so I would lead. We need to have some bluffs here sometimes leading river also.

Bug so can only see AJs and thought it was texas. What other two cards do we have? Laugh

I honestly think with a pair, nut flush draw, over card and gutshot this should either be a bet or check raise. I really don't like the check call at all...how come you took this line?

River I guess we have to lead as played.

We will have the range advantage when the river change like this and we will most likely shove our strong made hands on the turn. So make sense to bet river.

We have to decide if we want to have two sizes or one. With two size strategy we can bet pot with nuts and blocker/bluffs and bet smaller with Qspade and Ks and some bluffs.

If you want to use one size strategy I think going small is the best. We will have tons of value compared to bluffs and thinnish value so small size is the best.If you need to be perfectly balanced, Its most likely easier to achieve that with 1 size strategy. Having some bet/folds and bet/calls.

Vs bad villain I think 2 size strategy make most sense. To get max value when we have flush over flush. bad players are often bad at VB and bluff river and will often checkback to much.

Dont forget to leave some flushes in your checking range so we can call river too Smile

We are 250bb deep and if im going to check raise here im gonna have to be willing of getting it in, wich doesnt seem like a great idea... since im gonna be facing QQxx or some kind of Q9JT with spades hands like that , wich im not doing that great against. Check calling keeps the bad hands in his range that we can be crushing.

also we are multiway and i do want to keep both guys in when i hit my hand to make it more likely we get paid off...

And why would we ever donk out here ? set us up to get raised ? playing a not so great draw OOP wich is gonna be OBV what we have...

First I thought that you need to fold on the turn but when you showed that you had the gutshot it might turn into a call. You have 10 outs, so you need implied odds to call the turn. It's pretty close as we will hit our outs around 1 out of 4 times. So you need at least $12 on the river. But your hand is a bit face up, so the question is how likely opponent calls with a set/2pairs on the river when you bet?

He might also have KQJ9-type of hand which increases your equity a bit.

Unless opponent likes to fold on the river there I would call and then bet around 20 dollars, as you did.
