Kicker

A kicker is a card that is used to determine which player has a stronger hand. It becomes important when two or more players have the same top pair. In this situation, the player whose second hard is higher wins the pot.

e.g "Jack had a pair of kings with his King Jack while Terry also had a pair of kings with his King 7. Jack won the pot since his Jack kicker was higher than Terry's 7 kicker."
