There’s no doubt that there will be thousands of casino fans and poker players right now itching to get away and get some action. The world is starting to look a little more like its old self lately and many of us are just waiting for the first chance to get away from it all for a break where we can let loose on some table games and get in a few hands of poker as well.

But where will we go? That is the question. There are casinos dotted all over the world, but not all of them are suitable for those looking for pure gambling and poker at the same time. Here, we have put together our best recommendations for a list of casinos where you can play poker and enjoy a break away from it all.

King’s Resort, Rozvadov, Czechia

King’s Resort has one of Europe's premier casinos and the largest poker room on the continent. The casino floor is first-class, offering every table game you can think of along with a wide range of modern slot machines.

One quirk that has been noticed by casino fans in the past is that this is the location of one of only two craps tables in Europe. Craps is one of those games that is always thought of as being from Las Vegas with the table being completely surrounded by people having a great time.

The poker room boasts more than 200 tables and has played host to events as prestigious as the World Series of Poker Europe. The rake is a bit of a contentious issue here, as it is considered extremely high, but if you’re on holiday, then so what.

Barcelona Casino

One of the most popular stops on the European Poker Tour, Barcelona has it all and is a perfect location for a short getaway. The poker room is open from late afternoon until 4am giving players ample opportunity to get some hands in no matter what day of the week it is.

The casino is another one where the rake has become a bit of a gripe. PLO games follow the NL hold’em rake structure making pre flop hand selection crucial to not burning money.

The casino floor is plenty big enough at 7,000 sq.m. While plenty of traditional games are still in place the casino has kept up with the march of time by offering electronic modern games too. The slot machine selection is as good as you will find anywhere.

The Bellagio Casino

The Bellagio has to be one of the most iconic casinos on the planet. The gaming floor is one of the biggest around at a massive 116,000 sq.ft, full of tables and attentive staff. In pre-pandemic times you could expect a great atmosphere with the inhabitants of the 3,950 rooms enjoying their holidays and letting their hair down.

As far as poker is concerned the Bellagio Casino poker room has it all, from the smallest $1/$3 cash games up to the highest stakes found anywhere in the world in Bobby’s Room (or whatever they call it now). Unlike in Europe, where NL hold’em and PLO are king, you can find mixed games and even 7-card-stud on its own. And the rake is much more reasonable too.

These are just three of many great choices to let off some steam in a casino where you can play poker as well. Las Vegas is going to be the most popular choice for most, we feel, but don’t let that stop you from thinking about locations a bit further afield if you’re feeling adventurous.
